No salad with meal. Not rolls and butter. $25.??? For that?
My friend got 3 tiny burger sliders and fries. She got a soda. The bill was $66.00
I’m speechless.
Will never return.
The grocery store next door was pretty nice. Our waitress was wonderful. That’s all. The place was empty when we left at 9 and I felt rushed to leave. A woman turned the thermostat to 67 in front of me before we left. It was weird.
Nice Banquet room
You can feel the history as you enter with decor of timber and leather furniture. Classy. Very classy.
It’s a Monday night and the Lobster and Shrimp Special was back on the menu.
1 1/4lb. Whole Maine lobster plus& 1/2 lb of chilled u-peel shrimp. Served with cocktail sauce and coleslaw and drawn butter all for $39.95.
The seven of us however went for something different.
Shrimp cocktail.
Buffalo wings.
Beef sliders.
BLT flatbread.
Centre cut fillet Mignon.
Shrimp and crab salad.
Steak Burger.
Classic wedge salad.
Each meal was of a generous size and nice blend of flavours.
In particular, the steak was perfectly cooked. The diner had asked for rare, medium to rare. And wow, the chef got it exactly right. You could cut it with the back of a knife. Tender. Moist. Rich flavours.
The sliders were a little disappointing. Wasn’t a fan of the toasted bun and would’ve preferred fresh. We couldn’t eat them all so we were able to take them home with us. The buffalo wings were nice and not too much fat. Shrimp Cocktail although fresh and nice blend of flavours, there were only 4, perhaps 1 or 2 less than it should be.
All other meals we agreed were of a high quality and presented with care.
Staff were excellent and service outstanding.
Notes: kid friendly. Disabled friendly. Wheelchair access. Dine in or outside on the deck area. Bar area including tv’s for sport. Booths good sizes. Venue is ideal for group bookings.

The atmosphere of an old stone building, low ceilings in the main house, and ultimately the food bring us back for a quick bite or a special celebration.
It’s not cheap, but it’s goooood. Our new, favorite, the poke tuna tacos are to die for. Crispy, fresh and juicy, served with what seems like excellent home-made potato chips, it’s a big enough meal that you might sometimes take home. Especially if you start with a creamy, smooth and very tasty Lobster bisque.
My meal was the pork shank and while it wasn’t as much food as it looks in the picture (or on the plate), it still satisfied me with cracked pepper flavor, little bit of fatty goodness, and excellent pairing with polenta.
And if you have room, definitely try the deserts. Any of them.
UPDATE 7/2/23: new favorite appetizer – Salmon Crostini and a very good main course, albeit a bit fatty Norwegian Salmon. The salmon (main course) was glazed with a nice, sweet sauce and accompanied by crunchy, fresh beans.
When I went to pay, the waitress said, “The owner said it would be $30 because you were part of the event.” I explained that this was a separate to-go order which was transparent considering it was brought to me in a to-go container. She went to check, then returned saying the “owner” now said it would be $20 only if I paid cash otherwise $25. That felt strange and unfair, so I decided to not purchase.
Later, I called to clarify what happened and to confirm whether that direction really came from the owner. Chris, who is actually the manager (not the owner), told me, “If you don’t like it, don’t come back.” I told him his behavior left a repugnant taste in my mouth so I wasn’t going to come back anyway. He then added, “Your kind isn’t welcome here anyway,” and hung up.
To demand cash and then respond with that kind of hostility when questioned felt dishonest and deeply disturbing. No customer deserves to be treated that way. I felt disrespected and shocked by both his behavior and his words. It was completely unprofessional and unacceptable.
