The prime rib with mashed potatoes and asparagus was one of the most delicious meals I’ve ever eaten. We just happened upon the place as we were driving from Woodstock to Stowe. While we dined outside, the back dining room was absolutely charming. Our server was very friendly and cheerful. Everyone in our party was so pleased and amazed at our good luck at finding such an excellent place.

We stopped by for dinner and drinks while staying at an Airbnb in the area. The patio had amazing views and the burger and fries were great. They had live music and you can tell the locals were having a great time indoors at the bar. Highly recommend!

As we drove through Vermont, we were hoping to find a place for food and beer and discovered Clear Creek Tavern. We have travelled throughout the U.S. , Canada, and Europe and have not had a better meal. The prime rib was perfect as well as the asparagus and mashed potatoes. The wait and kitchen staff were very friendly. I heartily recommend the Clear River Tavern!

Olay locals place off the beaten track near the Killington ski resort. Large bar and indoor/outdoor seating. Mostly burgers, chicken and a few entrees. Overall food was fine. Decent draft and bottle beer selection, along with a full bar. Couple of pool tables and other games, outdoors as well.

Stopped in on a whim, as the Tavern is only about 15mins from my partners house, but we’d never made the time to stop in.
We absolutely will be going again.
It’s a lovely pub off the back of the Clear River Inn, with gorgeous views of the mountains just out back. Outdoor seating would have been perfect if we had gotten there an hour or so earlier when the sun was still up and it was warm enough. We opted to sit inside in the restaurant area, just outback of the pub area.
The staff were super welcoming, quick to serve, and incredibly friendly.
The food was excellent. Ok, so you know…it’s pub food, right? But it was better than that.
My partner had the roaster butternut squash bisque as an appetizer, and it was fantastic. Each of the apps were. I had a cubano and it was honestly the best one I’ve ever had.
A friendly place, with great food, a comfortable atmosphere, that’s close and not too expensive? Yes, please. 100%.

A cute find but MAN the food is terrible, and expensive! Overpriced cafeteria-quality foods. Expect to pay over $20 (before tip) for any sandwich/burger and fries. The fries tasted like they had been sitting out for hours. Not fresh!
