We were driving by and stumbled upon Shawarma Restaurant. It will definitely be a place we will go to again and again!
The restaurant is clean and tidy. With plenty of seating for groups couples and individuals.
We ordered the Chicken Kabsa Plate, Cheese Manakeesh, Lentil Soup and Iraqi Tea. The service was surprisingly quick and the food was piping hot.
We ate our delicious meal watching Barcelona vs. Alavés football match. Yasir saw that we were watching the game and he turned the television to face us! Such a lovely gesture. Barcelona won….
The Chicken Kabsa Plate came with a generous portion of rice and salad. The chicken was juicy, soft and flavourful. It was cooked to perfection.
My Cheese Manakeesh was really delicious. I dipped the Manakeesh into the lentil soup and that was a match made in heaven. The soup was hot, hearty, thick, flavourful and filling. The portion was generous so I have some for this evening.
Service was excellent. This place has to be a must visit if you are in the area. You won’t be disappointed.

Excellent fresh food for a great meal. Shawarma plate lived up to the namesake. Highly recommend for any Mediterranean food lovers put there. Oh, and FRESH pitas. Yum!

Wonderful food, and a very chill atmosphere! Dolmas are some of my favorite items, and these were excellent; the bread and baba ghanoush were to die for! Zatar manakeesh was such a delightful surprise, spices were perfect. And cannot recommend the basbousa to top it all off enough, literally a perfect desert for this meal.

Have you ever walked into a restaurant and they were baking fresh pita bread? Neither have I, and it smelled so fantastic and tasted even better. This place is worth it. Very affordable and the food was great. Super thin crust on the Manakeesh, it was great.

First time there tonight after it was highly recommended to me. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma pita, a side of fries and baklava for dessert and they were all fresh and amazingly delicious. Very friendly service with a smile! I will be back. I recommend take out as seating is limited and cramped and the ambiance is just okay but seems very clean from what I could see!

Got the Sheesh Kabob and the Swarma Plate with my wife and I. There was hummus with fresh prepared naan made as we waited. Very good food for the price. The authentic taste is there and the people definitely care about the food and service.

I absolutely love this place. I can not state enough how well the atmosphere, service, and food are. My friend and I have become regulars since they first opened, and one of my favorite things to get is the chicken shawarma pita with fries. The prices are fair and reasonable. The food is always fresh and delicious. The staff is always so welcoming. It’s a hidden gem in Rochester.

This is the 2nd time I have tried out this place. Everything is so good! Today, I tried the Kafta Kebab plate which did not disappoint. Last time I had tried the chicken shawarma pita. Personally, I think they hands down make the best falafels that I have had!! Will come again!!
