We ordered the taco platter. Which is $48 for 8 tacos. You get a variety of fish, birria, shrimp and lobster. We also got Pancit.
Positive first, the pancit was good. Tasted fresh.
Now negative. The tacos were terrible. They are all fried, every part of them. Tortillas are smothered in mozzarella cheese? Cooked in more oil. You cant even taste the flavors of the ingredients because its over powered with grease. Just destroyed the lobster which tasted like it was from a can anyway.
We’ve been here a week, all the food has been incredible and fresh… until this place. Never again. They need to redo their menu for the taco advertisement. False advertising for what youre paying for. We were expecting a delicious fresh $48 taco tray. This was a mess of greasy slop

Hi Shack is located at the food truck park and quickly became one of my favorites. I went back three times just for their lobster roll and guava lemonade. I seriously couldn’t get enough! Everything tasted fresh and well made, and it was exactly the kind of meal you crave while exploring the area. Easy, casual, and absolutely worth stopping for if you’re at the food truck park.

This maybe be the best meal I’ve had in Hawaii in all of my time here. And I’ve been here 6 times in the last 2 years. I’ve had the crab pasta and the lobster Mac n cheese from here and both were delicious. Most recently I had the lobster Mac n cheese and it was actually amazing. I can’t wait to go back to have it again. 10/10 in every way!

This was our second time trying Hi Shack—we visited the restaurant previously. This time, we ordered two classic sandwiches, and they were good overall. However, I personally found the patty a bit bland in flavor.
The service was great nonetheless, just like the excellent service we experienced at their restaurant 🙂

$37 for the worst lobster roll I’ve ever had. The staff was nice and I’m sure they were just working with what they had, but the meat was 98% itty bitty overcooked bits of the small, noodle like walking leg meat. Think lobster spaghetti (see photo)

Stopped by here a few times during my stay and sampled a few things off the menu. Wow!! The food hd great flavor, well portioned and didn’t take long to get to me. It’s a recommend from me!

The food was delicious. We went for dinner and lunch the next day. The pineapple fried rice with shrimp is amazing! We also had the spicy burger. Victoria was our server both times and did a fantastic job!!!

Sooooo good!! Went and got pancakes and the veggie omelette . So good, staff was real friendly, granted everyone in Hawaii is awesomely friendly. Make sure you try to coconut syrup they have, it’s homemade. I tried to buy some it’s so good
