Corapeake Country Restaurant was a hidden gem for us on our Sunday meanderings.

The exterior boasted of a structure that has stood the test of time. This large building begged us to come in with its dated look, full parking lot, interesting side buildings and Christmas decorations.

A welcoming environment awaited us with the daily specials written and a sweet smile from a waitress. The service was effecient and prompt. The food was excellent and extremely well priced. There was so much to take in from the items on the walls.

If you want good food, good vibes, and a historical atmosphere, this is definitely the place to stop.

Headed here for lunch on Sunday. We arrived ahead of most of the church crowd and were able to be seated immediately. I ordered the fried seafood platter with okra and green beans. Everything was perfectly cooked and arrived piping hot. The portions were very generous for a surprisingly low price. My wife had the ham and chicken special. More food than she could eat, and she loved it. My mother had the catfish platter, which she described as her favorite catfish ever. This restaurant offers an incredible value for excellent, cooked to order comfort food. Oh, and it filled up while we ate. We WILL return.

Feels like home and family! You are greeted with a welcome and a smile and told to sit wherever you like. Menues are brout over, and drinks are served. Home cooked meals and a daily special are offered at a very reasonable price! Caitlin severed us, and she was very courteous and kind. This place used to be a buffet, but covid hit, and it hurt us all, but I was pleased to see that the food was delicious and still available!

Such a nice place to eat. Has a very home style atmosphere where you feel comfortable and welcomed. The waitress I’ve had every time I’ve gone was amazing. Kathy couldn’t of been a more tentative and nice waitress.

Wait time was very reasonable with amount of people eating. The food was AMAZING! So good, the perfect home cooked meal. We make it a point to go every so often. Great place to take the family. Reasonable bargain prices. Costs us no more than thirty for whole family 2 adults and 2 kids.

Update: Still a wonderful place! There are numerous artifacts, vintage antiques here. The building is very historical, you can even see when it was once was a bank. You can see where the bank teller is. Our table was in the back right by it. We had Kathy again and wow I had to give her a big tip and she was very thankful. My daughter and I loved our food so much we even got a plate to go for tomorrow.

I ordered two large adult sized meals, two additional sides, two slices of pie and a to go adult sized meal plate for home for around $30! You can’t beat that anywhere! So I left Kathy a large tip for what the food should of cost for the quality and service!

Love that a place like this is so close to home! Such great comfort food, southern style eating! They do take out orders but no delivery. We usually love sitting in the booth but it was closed for repairs. It should be back again soon. Still we enjoyed our small table for two with an antique lamp on it which we turned on and really helped with the ambience.

I saw a cool vintage see saw in the corner with a snow sled. They have many vintage dolls, and a play cart. It’s even fun to just come and look at all the antiques. My daughters favorite was the vintage Coca Cola bottles and Pepsi bottles with soda still in them! They also have a nice old school sign.

Please come to this place, you will have no regrets!

Pretty good place to eat. However, they use Styrofoam for to go. FYI, when you put hot food in Styrofoam, the toxic elements of Styrofoam reaches into the food. Please find another option that’s not plastic or Styrofoam to put food in.

Such a cozy old fashioned restaurant. It’s everything you would expect it to be from a good ol’ southern place. Reminded me of eating at my grandma’s growing up. The food was tasty and the service was friendly. We loved looking around at all the vintage toys and decorations. Best part we didn’t have to take out a loan just to take our family to dinner!

Good down home food, and excellent service. Sunday after church is always the best time to go because of the all you can eat for a reasonable price.

I really like this place. It’s very comfortable, nice antiques on display. This place does draw a crowd. Mostly locals, but travelers stop there too. Fairly large menu, something for everbody. Great southern food.

I spent my summers nearby as a kid, but we didn’t eat out much back then. Now as an adult, this is almost always the first place I stop when I get back to NC! Their food is excellent. I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad meal. You’ll swear your grandma is in the kitchen! They have some of the best eastern NC BBQ you’ll ever eat, and you can’t get enough of their hush puppies! They offer a great buffet on Sundays too!
