We chose Merkado for a Celebration of Life for a family member in December 25. From the moment we walked into the Agave Alley, I knew it was the perfect place for us. Working with the Event coordinator Loreal and manager Fabian was a total pleasure. They were very helpful and accommodated all our needs for a sound system, AV and set up, and the staff help the day of the event was absolutely seamless.
The event was a great success. Our 100 or so guests raved about the margaritas, the gorgeous space and the delicious tacos.

A local favorite for more upscale Mexican dishes. The tacos are amazing with fresh house made tortillas. Taco Tuesday is definitely a favorite with rotating specials and vegetarian options too! Great cocktails and beers on draft. Also, dog-friendly with the large bar area inside and a huge patio outside!

The ambiance was great, I love the rustic interior decor they got going on and a great spot to host private events as there were two happening while my friend and I were there for brunch. Food was amazing and the cocktails were delicious. We are definitely coming back to try out their dinner menu since the pictures online looked so tantalizing.

My experience at the Mexican restaurant left much to be desired. The chicken mole didn’t live up to my taste buds’ hopes, and the salad portion was disappointingly tiny. The fish taco failed to impress, being both unremarkable and slightly cold. Thankfully, the corn dish was a standout, delivering a satisfying mild spiciness. On the service front, I had no complaints – it was attentive and efficient. Plus, the restaurant’s outdoor space was a pleasant surprise: neat, private, and inviting.

My recent visit to Merkado was a mixed experience. The ambiance is really nice, and they have a solid beer selection that pairs well with the meal. However, the food was a bit underwhelming. The chicken mole was on the salty side, and the enchiladas were just average—not quite the bold flavors I was hoping for. Given the price point, I expected a bit more in terms of taste and quality. Overall, it’s an okay spot for drinks and atmosphere, but the food could use some fine-tuning.

We recently rented out space at Merkado to host our wedding dinner for 30 of our closed family and friends. Loreal & the whole team were amazing! Everyone was blown away at the customer service and delicious food! Loreal went above and beyond with communication to help make the entire experience super easy. Stopped by for a little bite and drinks before they were closing on a Saturday night.
Ordered chips with guacamole , two pork taco and an IPA on tap. Chips tasted fresh. Guacamole also was very tasty and fresh. Would order that again. Pork tacos had a lot of topping. Wish they served on two corn tortillas instead of one because it was really hard to eat. Flavors were good. Beer choices were good. Wish they had a hazy IPA option.
Overall, very pleased with my meal and would definitely come back again.
