Hamburgers like your grandma used to make! Cold crisp lettuce and onions, mayo, mustard and ketchup, slightly toasted bun . Got a butterscotch shake and it was delicious. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen an old fashioned shake shop. The menu is the classics: Hamburgers, fish, Frito pies, several shake flavors, malts, floats, fountain drinks. I only wish I had room to try it all!

Stopped by around 3:00 while passing through and ordered two milkshakes and a grilled cheese sandwich thinking it would be a quick stop. We were the only people in line and after waiting for around 30 minutes, we finally knocked on the window to check on the status of our order because we could see 3 employees through the windows not doing anything. They apologized for the long wait and gave us our food a few minutes later. The milkshakes were good, but the grilled cheese sandwich was terrible. It was so greasy our dog wouldn’t even eat it. Too long of a wait, and too expensive for the quality of food and service.

Neat little place with a pretty big menu. I got the finger steaks with onion rings, salad, and toasted bread. I enjoyed everything, and the steak fingers paired well with the white gravy. It’s nothing fancy, just an old fashioned malt/shake shop with simple food.

What is happening to our shake shop? This is the perfect place to stop whether headed in town or out. The chicken wings are hit or miss with the season. The tenders this last time was like they cut one tender two times. If you didn’t have enough tenders to fulfill orders and have to result to scraps, please advise the customers rather than take their money.

Today is my 3rd visit and the food is great. I’ve tried the hamburgers and the catfish – both were excellent! The only reason they don’t get 5 stars is because their outside tables are a little too close to a dumpster and the aroma isn’t very appetizing.
