This is our go-to bar. They take great care of us and our friends. Food is great and prices are reasonable. We come with a large group of people every Tues and they make sure they are staffed for us. It’s definitely worth the drive from Rockwall.

Waitress was hot but had the education of a 7th grader, told me and my friends the menu had “typos” and the prices were wrong and then told us that beer was $3 and that 18 wings were $14. When we got our tab the prices were completely off and she said there wasn’t anything she could do and then tried to gaslight us and tell us that she wouldn’t change me for my last beer to make up the $15 that was off on my tab. Don’t go here.

Ordered food to go yesterday, and was not impressed. Brisket was fatty and not a lot of flavor. Sides were small and no one liked the mack ‘n cheese. Side of toast looked like thick sliced bread with some butter.
They were very nice on the phone and at the bar, cool place with some outdoor seating. Several TV’s, Pool table and Golden Tee video game. May go back for drinks but not the food. 12/2023.

I sat at a table for a good 15 minute and no one came over and said anything to me. Yes, they were very busy so I gave them some time but I work as a waiter so I understand the business. They had a sign at the door saying seat yourself but if you are going to have a sign saying that someone should say something to you to let you know that you walked in the door. Yes I came by myself but I feel that I am just as important as the rest.

Came for lunch on a Saturday. Bartender was server and was great. Brisket was good, not much smoke flavor. Sauce was tasty. Bacon Mac and cheese and cole slaw were good. Wife loved her baked potato with brisket.

The Char Bar and BBQ is single handedly the greatest thing that has ever happened to the service industry! The food leaves nothing to be desired, a whimsical journey for your pallet that will not disappoint. And that bartender Jordan, my goodness, what a good looking gal. She takes the art of mixology to the next level! She slings drinks just like she slings jokes, quick and efficiently. She’ll have you feeling like a $100 bill with her Apricot Mule while you pee your pants from all of the laughter. She’s so talented that she’ll be featured in their next comedy show!!! I wish I had two extra hands so I could give this place four thumbs up- HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Planned to go see a band that ended up canceling, so the “house band” stood in…. no offense but with so many great bands touring DFW, Char Bar may consider expanding options. At many points during the songs, no one in the band would be playing an instrument but there was a drum or guitar solo playing over the speakers. Is it karaoke? The drinks didn’t look like the photos in the menu and food was okay but took awhile. Still a fair bit of wasted space, and only staff to greet us was the bartender – we walked right past the manager on the show twice but she never looked up from her beer bottle.

Service was good. I couldn’t eat because of the flies. Some girl was sitting at the bar swatting the flies. Disgusting! Atmosphere was even worse. Smells like smoke in there. Will never go back!!! What a joke.

Entry to restaurant was blocked by a group of bikers outside smoking. I am a smoker myself but that was ridiculous. We were one of two tables eating. Waited 30 minutes for them to even acknowledge us. They seemed confused over two separate menus. One had strange typos. We waited another 20 min for them to tell us they were out of BBQ. An hour after that we ended up with the worst nachos ever. The chips were soggy and the cheese was the cheapest stuff you can find in a can. We just paid the very over priced bill and left.
