Very chill and comfy-feeling bar w/stage. I drove down from Dallas to see a few bands play, and the vibe was awesome. The door guy was patient with me as I paid the cover and was nice. The bartender was very nice as well. Food from Marinara Miracles was SO GOOD.
There’s plenty of seating all over, upstairs and down. They’ve got pinball and arcade games in the main bar area, and pool and air-hockey upstairs.
Overall, a really nice dive. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Austin.

alhalla is a standout bar with a strong personality and an energetic atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in for the night. The drink selection is solid, with well-made cocktails and good options on tap, and prices stay reasonable for the quality. The crowd is lively but not overwhelming, and the overall vibe feels social and welcoming rather than chaotic. Staff were attentive and kept things moving smoothly, even when it got busy. Whether you’re stopping in for a couple of drinks or planning to stay longer, Valhalla feels like a place people come back to often, which matches its strong local rating.

Hard to rate the place with just one scale. As a Bar place is great I’d give 5 stars. As a Venue i would give negative stars if I could. Some great bands play here, and if you want to hear a great band sound bad this is your place. The sound system is terrible and gives constant shrill feedback throughout performances. Mind you, these are bands I have seen perform multiple times at other venues and here, so I can confidently say Valhalla’s sound system is the problem. If you want a drink or some food go here bar and restaurant are great. If you want to see a band or if you are a band looking for a place to perform, AVOID.

We came here looking for some good food. The staff is very friendly too! This place has a rock vibe to it. The downstairs is where they have live music and a bar to order drinks. Upstairs is where you are able to order food. They have some games you have to pay to play. The large table for big parties does tip over a bit and a seat up against the table is falling off. I think they should really fix that for future customers.

Yikes. Service was poor. Entered and went to look at the cool old juke box and was immediately asked “What are you doing by bar guy.” Douche atmosphere. We are tourists from out of town and we love rock, metal, you name it. This bar looks like it’s going under and I’m not suprised why.

I was saved by the bouncer Calvin. Home boy saw me getting harassed outside off the property and stood up for me, intervened and even assisted with the police. This is a safe bar with him around. The show was great the service was better.

Pinball machines are old but they work. The drinks are very competitively priced. Listen to live music on one side and relax and play pool on the other side.

Popped in for food. Didn’t stay long. The guy at the bar had stepped away so went to next door for pizza. The music scene here is very good and the Italian upstairs serves great food.

I went here this past Sunday to see a band I love. It’s a really laid back chill atmosphere until the bands start. I had so much fun. It was worth the 3 hour drive to get there. The drinks were priced well and the Margaritas where delicious.
