Korean barbecue is a popular method in Korean cuisine of grilling meat, typically beef, pork or chicken. Our meats are cooked over a gas grill built into the dining table itself. We have a self-serve salad bar where our customers can pick and choose their side dishes.

I went for lunch never having had Korean BBQ before. My wife and I weren’t sure what to get so we figured it would be easiest to just get a lunch combo instead of the cooked-at-the-table BBQ but we were open to whatever.
The sign outside had a number of lunch box type options and we had pretty well selected one of the specials from that list. We ordered those items but the manager seemed confused about what we ordered so we took the opportunity to to inquire about how everything works. The traditional Korean BBQ was described as “time consuming”. I found that off putting because it sounded to me like they didn’t want to take the effort to prepare such a meal.
We kept with the lunch specials.
The restaurant was cold. Probably to account for the heat of the grill at the table. We asked for hot tea which is often part of Korean cuisine. We were told we could do jasmine or matcha. We ordered Jasmine. It came as a couple tea bags in a plastic water cup full of hot water. The funny thing is the cold water came in chilled cups which would normally be used for hot tea. Just a real head scratcher… Pictures included.
At one point we asked a member of the wait staff a question about what we were eating. She said she didn’t know and elaborated that she didn’t know much about Korean food. I appreciate the honesty but it didn’t feel right. She did research the question and provided a satisfactory explanation.
In all the food was great. Tasted good and was thoroughly enjoyable. Just the rest of the experience, the stuff that really matters for an experiential dining place fell well short of expectations.
Worth a try but I don’t think I’ll be rushing back.
Based on how it works with cooking food on the tiny grill, it took 2 hours 45 minutes to eat dinner for 6 people. Interesting experience though. Pricey. Roman was a Great server!
cooked our meats for us, which added such a fun vibe to the meal. The buffet offered a great selection of fresh vegetables, including bean sprouts and salad, which paired perfectly with the BBQ. Highly recommend this spot for a fantastic dining experience!
Going down hill. Not coming back.
Bulked up the buffet area with sushi and fried veggies and meat. Zoe was very attentive. All in all, pretty good korean ayce
While the bar mostly offers canned cocktails, they pair well with the sizzling meats and side dishes. One thing to keep in mind – don’t plan to go anywhere fancy afterward because you’ll leave smelling like a chef fresh off the grill! It’s all part of the experience, though, and it’s absolutely worth it for the amazing meal.
Highly recommend for a fun, flavorful dining adventure!
Our server was nice. Very well mannered & attentive. We personally don’t have to go back. But, I am also aware that their best location is to be in Duluth.
