From the moment we walked in (without a reservation), we were greeted by multiple staff members and immediately felt welcomed. The wait was short, and they even served us drinks while we waited which set the tone right away.
The service was attentive without being overbearing, and the entire team was genuinely friendly. You can tell they care about the guest experience.
The cocktails were creative and well balanced, and the food was truly delicious. Every dish felt thoughtful and well executed.
Great energy, great service, great food exactly what you want for a Scottsdale date night.
We’ll definitely be back.
We’ve already been to Pinyon four times (lunch, happy hour, and dinner twice) and it has been *consistently* excellent every single visit. The food is always fresh, hot, and seriously delicious.
From the moment you walk in, the staff is amazing. You’re warmly greeted, the service is top-notch, and the team really makes you feel taken care of. Huge shoutout to Taylor, Leo, Alecia, and Fuad — outstanding across the board. Even the goodbye at the end of the meal feels thoughtful and genuine.
The space itself is beautiful with very intentional, stylish décor. The patio and upstairs areas add so much charm.
Every dish we’ve tried has been great, but standout starters for us are the pistachio labneh, yellowtail crudo, oysters, and beef carpaccio. The mains are all really good too — honestly too many to list. The Hugo Spritz is also a hit… light, refreshing, and perfect.
And **do not skip dessert**. The baklava cheesecake is a must-try — creamy, crunchy, gooey, and absolutely perfect.
I recommend making a reservation as it’s always busy. So happy to have this spot in the neighborhood. We’ll definitely keep coming back.
We ordered cocktails while looking over the menu. BTW they make great Cosmos and Martinis. My friend and I ended up sharing 4 dishes, Spiced Olive and Feta Hummus, Yellowtail Crudo, Gambas Y Ajillo and the Beef Carpaccio. All the food was presented well and tasted great. We will definitely be back to try other menu items. To note: excellent marketing to send the customers home with a little box of chocolates for Valentines Day.
Atmosphere: nice decor, very energetic vibe. Food: excellent. Service: excellent.
The space is beautiful with its green-and-wood Mediterranean aesthetic, high ceilings, and views of the Scottsdale Civic Center. Pricing is reasonable and the food was very impressive, from the seasonal hummus and fresh-baked pita to the perfectly cooked linguini & clams. Cocktails are bright, refreshing, and well-crafted.
Overall, a memorable experience with warm hospitality and great flavors. Definitely a standout addition to Old Town Scottsdale.
Our favorite dish was the Eggplant Napoleon, which was served over a tomato paste sauce and included arugula pesto. I need to recreate this dish, we loved it! The different hummus’ were amazing and had such unique flavors, I loved the pistachio one. The seared feta is another great appetizer that is easy to share and packed with flavor. Everything we had was great, and I look forward to going again to try more of the Mediterranean cuisine.
Ran in here on accident for a happy hour and were super happy with the entire experience.
Food – soo delicious. We got the carpaccio (delicious) and baked feta (keep in mind, it is sweeter than you expect, but still delicious. Make sure to grab pita or toast for it). We also grabbed two spritzes. They were delicious as well (super massive, they are on a sweeter side as well).
Service – outstanding. We sat at the bar and all bartenders were incredibly nice. After our meal, we had a manager talk to everyone at the bar to ask about their experience. It was very thoughtful.
Atmosphere – very cozy and comfortably upscale. You don’t feel like you are underdressed, but you also can wear something really nice here. Great for lunch or a special occasion.
Overall – highly recommend.
Happy hour is a standout with excellent pricing on both cocktails and appetizers. The service was fabulous: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish.
We shared the pistachio labneh, which was absolutely delicious, paired with soft, warm pita bread. For dinner, the lamb shakshuka was packed with flavor and felt like an exceptional value for the quality and portion.
We chose to sit at the downstairs bar, which was comfortable and fun, but the dining room is beautiful and the patio is quiet and inviting—perfect for a relaxed evening.
We will definitely be back and highly recommend Pinyon for great food, atmosphere, and service.
First time at Pinyon, and it exceeded our expectations. The food was top-notch – we ordered the olives and feta hummus, the yellowtail crudo, the Roma tomato salad (simple, but so great), the chicken skewer, the the star of the show, the baklava cheesecake. Everything was delicious and well prepared. Our server, Sarena, and the manager, Alec, were so sweet and attentive. Thank you for such a great dinner.
We had reservations for 1730. $9 valet is an option for parking but we parked ourselves in the free parking structure. But by the time we left, it seemed ppl were fighting for parking spots.
