This Sonic is different than most I’ve been to in the US- it’s not just a drive through with the traditional carhop option. But you can also dine-in with plenty of seating, power outlets equipped with an additional USB charging port. Highchairs for the little ones, and plenty of inside seating!

I go all the time, sometimes it’s slow sometimes it’s fast, but last week I had a mobile order, and I waited in my spot for over 20mins. My order eventually disappeared on the screen and after 5 mins of the screen being blank a rang them again and they seemed confused as to why I hadn’t gotten my order. Not sorry for the wait or anything from employees

The food is good, their dragonfruit and Red Bull drinks are wonderful, and they will make your order any way you want it. The restroom is clean and the restaurant is well maintained. The staff is kind. That being said always check your order before pulling out. They have messed it up a couple of times but they will fix the issue no problem.

normally i like it here! but these past couple of times i get my sonic blasts, they aren’t mixed AT ALL. the top is loaded with toppings but as you get to the bottom, its just plain soft serve. you’d think that they would put a little more care into it, and take that extra 30 seconds to mix it well. they don’t.

I haven’t been to this sonic in a while duty to service was always slow. But Sunday I decided to stop and order a burger. I was surprised how nice a friend the girl at the drive through was. Amazon service so I decided to stop in after work tonight to grab a bight but very disappointed. I never even got to order. I was greeted at the drive-thru with a message due to high volume of orders they where not taking new orders at that time but check back with them in 20 minutes. Mine you it was 7pm there was 5 car’s in line and 6 car’s parked under the covered parking. Not what I call a high volume. That was ridiculous who does that, do they think customers have nothing better to do than just drive around and hope they can order when ever they fill like working. Got news for you I will not do that nor should anyone else. Guess Sonic is off my go to list again. Apparently there doing so well they can decide when they want to take orders or not.

Where do I start? Someone takes my order, then another says they can’t hear me and I need to pull up to the window! Then I wait at the window for 5 minutes, until somebody opens up and ask what do I want! I proceeded to give her my order and I wait for 17 minutes while cars behind me are receiving their orders and pulling around me! Upon receiving my order, there is no apology for the extreme wait or the inconvenience of ordering at the window, delaying my order. Obviously the two doubles had to be made but were not freshly hot! Not sure why something is always awry with this place and why I even continue to come back but this was the worst experience I’ve ever had!

I have loved sonic since I was a kid in South Carolina, and today was one of the best experiences I have had at the Dubuque Sonic. Lucas… whoever you are, you really helped put a smile on my face after the worst weekend I have ever had. I appreciate you and the Sonic team as a whole! Thank you for everything!! Order a footlong with onions BBQ sauce. Came hot and ready. Also a grape slush. Been over a year since I been close to a sonic had to try. Price is with the economy. Nice people. Clean lot.
