Had an amazing dinner here after a show in Huntington. Very cool old school restaurant with plenty of wood trimmed rooms and electric decor. Food was delicious, pork chop with ghost chili sauce (which was hot but nice complement) and halibut special were our entrees. Did a seasonal salad, veal meatball and oysters Rockefeller as apps and the “little Debbie Christmas tree cheesecake” was incredible. And can’t forget to ment the great service. If you’re here for a 30 minute meal, probably not your place. But if you don’t want to be rushed it’s definitely worth the experience. Also, loved the live piano music going back and forth between Christmas music and classical…wow so good! Added a cozy touch does days before Christmas. We spent a lot, but ate a lot!

Very solid, old-school steakhouse. Portions were HUGE. Crab cake was great. Brussels were solid. The sautéed greens were amazing! Came in on a quiet night. Service was attentive but not overbearing. I’d give it a 4.5 if that was available.

Perfect spot for a date night! We were drawn to this place for many reasons. From the history and atmosphere to the limited days/hours of service, we knew we were in for a treat. Service was consistent from the moment we arrived.
Chef James Hillen rivals some of the top Chefs that we have dined with. The food was FANTASTIC! Our steaks were flavorful and cooked to perfection with an exceptional sear.
The garlic mashed potatoes were perfectly seasoned and prepared. The homemade mac and cheese was creamy with the perfect crust on top. The salad was a good portion size and tasted like it was freshly chopped and prepared.
The asparagus was cooked to perfection and perfectly seasoned. The crème brûlée was balanced and creamy with a delicious hardened caramelized sugar layer.
We can’t brag on this place enough and definitely recommend this restaurant. This is a place we will dine at again!

10th year of celebrating my birthday at 21 qt The Frederick. Mark and Company make every event special. Mushroom Bisque is a must.lamb chops were perfect. Risotto and veggies a nice compliment. Creme Broulee a total surprise. Brian was our server for the third year. He anticipated every request. Our friends love it when they get the invite to join us.

If you enjoy Laury’s in Charleston, WV, you will love it here! It is downtown, so I was worried about parking, but we easily found a spot on the street nearby. Our waiter, Brian, was really great. Our salads and the bread…so good. We both ordered the filet mignon, between the two of us we had their roasted potatoes, garlic mashed potatoes, and the baked macaroni and cheese. Just incredible. And their crème brûlée was also delicious. The dining area has low lighting and a cozy atmosphere. The building is really cool. Very nice place; especially for special evenings.

Such a historical building with a wonderful ambiance . The service was perfect,he was informative of the specials. The menu has a nice selection of sides, I had the lamb chops which was very good. Was built in 1909, first served as a hotel with 125 rooms and 11 restaurants.

I’ve eaten here several times in the past year, enough to have tried most of the items on the menu. The food is reliably good and service is excellent. The only negative is that it gets really noisy when crowded, and conversation gets difficult. Ownership should consider investing in soundproofing.

I’m basing my review almost exclusively on the flavor of the aged strip steak I had there. It was truly wonderful. My friends also enjoyed their meals, which came in large servings. Service had a nice small town feel, and the ambiance was cute (though a bit confusing).
This was an expensive meal, but again, my steak made the experience.
