Amazing stop for lunch today. I had the Bacon Blue and Q. It was cooked perfect. The menu has a lot to choose from. I can’t wait to come back for more!

The wife and I visited this place for the first time and I have to say, the food was excellent. We ordered the Afterburner Burger with fries and the fries were great and the fact that they cook them in tallow is a nice thought to get away from seed oils.

They didnt ask how we wanted the burger cooked but they cooked them to about a medium, which was fine with us because thats how we normally eat our burgers anyway. We also ordered the Butterfly Lemonade and while it could have been a tad sweeter, its really a small thing and not going to knock them for that. They also have outdoor seating which is great because the restaurant has some good scenery.

The 2 things that threw us off and maybe me more than my wife, were the 2 dogs that were in, yes IN, the restaurant and the flies. The owner has 2 dogs that were able to freely roam the floor, and while nice, they obviously do not belong anywhere near where people are eating food, especially an adult husky, who, thankfully, decided to shake away from our table. There were also multiple flies and wasps flying around and that’s an easy fix that I just think may not be at the forefront of the owners’ minds, but should be.

In all, it’s a great restaurant, with a great menu in a town where there’s not many top notch options for food. But is hampered by just a few house keeping issues. And while the dogs weren’t a terrible issue, its just the fact that they shouldn’t be in a restaurant. If you can overlook those couple of things, then this place is definitely a great place to have some really good food.

Loved the local experience with its craft beer and wine. The red wine, Escape, is a standout—one of the best East Coast wines I’ve tried. The menu is homemade, flavorful, and not to be missed. Be sure to save room for dessert; it’s as delicious as everything else.

My friend and I went for opening night and we were impressed! The staff was so friendly and checked in often. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming (the owners dogs wondering around made our experience even better!)

The Asian calamari was delicious and not too greasy. Everything was fresh and made to order. Looking forward to going back and trying more!

It was a beautiful Saturday (08/05/2023) and the wife wanted to explore the area. She picked 5 Sons from the ratings and pictures.

The property is set back from the main road and looks cute from a distance… up close could use some TLC. The deck is in need of a good cleaning and staining.

The inside is cute and a mix of a dining room, bar/counter/display. I got their draft lager and an order of bread sticks. The wife got a 3 wine sampler and boozy gelato . We sat on their patio to enjoy our drinks and snacks.

With tax and tip it was just shy of $30.

Have lived near here for 30 years and never knew they existed. A 5 minute drive for me to this hidden gem. Wine was very tastey, food was warm and made fast, staff/owners were unbelievably friendly and the view was amazing. All the wine made there on site. Went there to celebrate and can’t wait to go back again.

We went here for dinner last night and everything was amazing including the service. The scotch egg, calamari, rueben and coq au vin blanc were all delicious. We had coffee and dessert too which were both great. I love to support local/family owned and on top of that they source local ingredients!

These guys changed the place very nice. We had a very good burger with ham cooked just right juicy and not raw but a perfect medium rare. First time there since last fall big change. Little disappointed no draft beer. I told him that I brew my own beer. He gave me a couple hints on making it a little stronger. THANKS

Went here for Mother’s Day brunch. The food was good and the staff were friendly. Small quaint bistro out in the country. They have a nice outside deck for nice days. I believe they brew beer here, too. Recomended!
