I had a question about the name and what one of the tasty treats was that I had bought. I called and left a message. The owner returned my call that evening!
If it is courteous, personable service and sweet comfort treats that you are looking for around Arcola, check their hours- currently not open Sun-Tues, and stop in the Panaderia on Main Street in Arcola!
These aren’t your typical homemade fresh breads. Believe me, you won’t find them in any regular bakery, thats what makes their products so good. The owner & her son were so friendly and helpful as well. She had a few packages of buns left, mind you, I was so elated big time. I’ve tried to find these at other bakeries, and believe me when I say it’s not possible seriously!
I found them, as Vitas restaurant uses them for their sandwiches. They are so light and fluffy along with tasty as can be for real. Now you know we just didn’t find them. Oh no, little brother took a look at her pastries, too, of course.
One of her big sellers ate corn muffins, but now I can’t tell you what they taste like just yet, but stay tuned, please.
Now this other mexican pastry, I’m not sure of the name yet. Here’s my definition of this delicious mexican pastry. I think, not for sure. It’s one of their breads, in the middle is like a cream cheese pastry cream with strawberry and then it’s glazed, did you hear me it’s filled & glazed but so much lighter than a donut dough. I was in heaven with this new Mexican pastry, I’ll get the name promise. So overall people you need to check the days & times for the bakery. Then, get your butt over there as I’m not exaggerating at all. This is a fabulous bakery, and it is rare to find one on top of it. I’ve tried. Oh yes, I’ve tried. Nothing will compare seriously

Big shout out to the owner & her son for being so sweet & and helpful, along with letting Skippy come in as well. See you in the spring for sure. Well, be back!
It was closed today. I will be back by it to get their wonderful baked goods. They have a hamburger bun that’s to die for and really great baked goods.
