My wife and I had our wedding cake designed and built by Jon. He is quite the artist and puts a lot of time and thought into how custom cakes and pastries are put together. And the flavor profiles he can combine are endless! We continue to grab our family’s birthday cakes from either of his locations and we always walk out of the store with more in hand. Jon and his team are amazing! They did our wedding cake and cupcakes in October of 2023. The tasting was fantastic. Very reasonably priced and everything turned out exactly as we envisioned! Would recommend 10/10! He did a separate red velvet birthday cake for one of our guests.They also had gluten free and dairy free options which was great for a few of our guests.

Bearded baking co has the best treats! We have been coming here for years for sweet treats and sandwiches! It was no question we were using them for our wedding cake. It was beautiful and most importantly delicious, our guests were raving about it the whole night!

Every visit is a treat – the pastries are always fresh, creative, and delicious. You can tell how much care goes into everything. The coffee is great too, and the atmosphere is super welcoming. The owner and staff are always friendly and accommodating. It’s become one of my favorite spots in Manchester.

**update** owner received my review and immediately sent me a long aggressive email about how I need to be kind and then went to tell me how to raise my daughter. That I can’t teach her “when you don’t get your way, you can’t act negative towards others”. Seriously!?
But it’s okay as a company to promise service and then a month later cancel? During one of the biggest holiday weeks? First birthdays are a huge deal.
After reading reviews below – do not go here unless you have a big order of a few hundred dollars or don’t go here at all for custom orders.

I reached out on Sept 29th about a custom order for my daughter’s first birthday on Nov. 29th. I did not get a first reply until October 19th. Jonathan did confirm he could do my order of custom cupcakes. So taking his word, I felt I did not have to go else where.
Now on Oct 29th, one month away, I received an email that the bakery will be closed and he will not be doing custom orders for Thanksgiving. But “I could pick up Thanksgiving cupcakes” if that helped. Would you want Thanksgiving cupcakes to celebrate your birthday?
Since Jonathan didn’t clearly check calendars, and confirmed, I wasted a months time. Now no one will take my order because it is less than a month away ontop of being close to Thanksgiving. Great reward for trying to support local business!

2 months we have been planning some custom cupcakes for my daughters birthday. Then Bearded Cafe cancelled because it was “too close to Thanksgiving”. Ridiculous, that’s poor service. We’ll be avoiding your cafe moving forward. Plus your coffee wasn’t that great anyway.

For the price they should a least try to make them fresh.
If they’re frozen as I was told they should let them seat on room temp before serving them?!?

This is the best. Why? If you don’t value the flavors of culinary tradition you might not notice but Bearded Baking upholds centuries of culinary arts and then adds innovation on top, sometimes literally on top. And this time, the Parisian torte was not fudge.

We go from time to time for pastries, which are great. Elephant ears , scones, cupcakes are all delicious. Recently ordered a cake for the first time since the change in ownership. I was extremely happy with the appearance of the cake and the flavors and textures were spot on. This is definitely our bakery from now on.

My husband tried to get me a birthday cake from here and after confirming the order with them at least two weeks in advance they kept giving him the run around and a week before my birthday he asked about the cake and they were still giving him excuses. We won’t be spending money here again if this is how they treat their customers. Extremely disappointed.
