Definitely an upgrade from most Mexican restaurants. Not your everyday Mexican food. Fresh ingredients, salsa is even an upgrade. I got the seafood burrito. It was delicious. Another guest got the enchiladas suprema and another got the fish tacos. Everyone was raving. My mom got the strawberry margarita I tasted it and it was GOOOOOD. Highly recommend this place.

The food is good but the horchotas and other drinks get filled with pure ice so you only get a little bit of the actual drink. The large drink be like 5 dollars and its mostly just ice. Kinda disappointing. :/

Great news yall, Birria Tacos priced right – perfect guacamole – generous portions with great service and authentic food. Fantastic first time here. We will be back after hockey games or for business lunches.

Best Mexican cuisine I’ve had in a while. For starters the service was great! We did the queso chorizo as an app and it was great but the entrees took the show. Both the carnitas and birria were fantastic! Keep up the great work!

We had a party of 5 and we were able to be seated immediately on a Wednesday. The birria tacos were very good. The seafood burrito was good except the scallops. The margaritas and queso were very good too.

Friendly staff. Quick service. The tacos were more flavorful than most Mexican restaurants I’ve been to, which was great. The margaritas are big and strong!

Officially my new favorite Mexican restaurant in Louisville! The food here is SO fresh and packed with flavor. It feels like you’re trying the meal for the first time with every bite you take.

Parking is plentiful, so you shouldn’t have an issue finding a spot to park on any given day. We went during lunch and got seated immediately (it was their second week open, so that may change as folks find out how incredible they are!). Chips and salsa were provided right away and drinks were dispersed super quickly. Both the lunch menu and beer/liquor menu were clean, easy to digest, and exciting. A lot of the items were staples seen at other restaurants, but with a Tres Amigos twist. Other dishes were totally unknown to me and exciting to put on my list to try in the future. Pricing was extremely affordable and honestly a steal when you consider the portion sizes and quality of the dishes. Fountain drinks/tea was priced at $3.00 with free refills. Seating ranged from booths to chairs, with plenty of different table sizes for large or small groups. The windows made for very nice natural lighting! The light fixtures above tables were so unique and helped provide a modern feel. There is a neat bar area in the center of the restaurant and a few TVs. Overall, the atmosphere was awesome and I felt very comfortable throughout my visit.

I tried the Carnitas (lunch menu), which came with tortillas (flour or corn, I chose corn), fried plantains, rice and refried beans. The pork was SO tender and the addition of the pickled onions was SO good. I was shocked when I tasted the refried beans and rice. Both had SO much flavor! They were unlike any other that I’ve ever tried. The fried plantains were awesome, which was no surprise to me since I do love some plantains! The corn tortillas were soft and warm. Additional comments from my group: The beef in the Mateo Especial was tender and juicy. The plating was beautifully done. The value of the meal makes the price paid well worth it. Everything was so fresh! We will be back… a lot!

I am not usually amazed with every single aspect of a meal. Pleased? Sure. But amazed? That doesn’t happen to me often, but Tres Amigos succeeded in making my entire group regulars with one visit. We were won over with their food first, then their customer service. Staff was attentive, welcoming, thoughtful, and eager to make our experience seamless from start to finish. I cannot recommend this place enough. I can’t wait to try other dishes and see how their menu evolves over time! Thanks for a wonderful lunch!

Couldn’t fill a simple order. I drove all the way here. Then noticed a email that it couldn’t be filled. Expect a refund in 3 days. Oh great. Thanks. I’m literally in the parking lot. Now I have to find another restaurant and wait again. I would not return or try to order again. You should have called me to substitute whatever item was holding it up.

Hello, I am the mom with two kids, who went to this restaurant.
First, I appreciate Ms. Corney that you stand up for people who you think they been treating unfairly.
Second, If you are the owner of ”Tres Amigos” you should not fight with the person who expresses his or her experience about your restaurant. I own a business too, if this happen to me I will apologize and ask to have a second chance and make sure each person have a great experience in my place. There are many Mexican restaurant around. This is your choice, and that explain why you have a poor management and server that can not make they own decision because they are afraid of Wally.
This is my history: you can take it and see how to do better or you can pretend that nothing happening and ignore your reviews.
We went there for about 3 times in a week, because is close to my kids school ”St. Margaret Mary” also is closer to the school of Martial Art that my 8 and 11 year old go.
The first time was ok, the second time was fine until this happened.
Third time: I ordered some kind of beef with tomatillo sauce, my kids order 3 hard tacos and cheese enchilada with rice and beans.
My order was very salty that makes your tongue numb, I was waiting very long for the server to come to our table until I asked another waiter the situation. They called the waiter for my table and he offered to change the dish, he never come back to my table until I asked another waiter what happened, that I have to leave because my kids have classes. He went to the kitchen and come back and tell me: “the manager will come to talk to you because he said he tried all sauces in the morning and everything was good”. I forgot to mention that I was there at 4:45 or 5 pm. He continues, “He stated that he will not change the dish because you already eat some plantain and the food was good” and yes I eat some plantains and tried the beef and can not eat it. WAS NOT EDIBLE!!! I understand mistakes happen, but what I am not understand is the manager reaction. This doesn’t finish here. After all the message that I got from the manager, I went to the front and ask for my check to pay, the Manager came to the front and said, what happened ? I said, “Probably you already knows what because you sent me a message with the waiter” He was trying to convince me that what I said was not true, also I said, “I do not thing is fair to pay for the food that I haven’t eat” He laughed sarcastically and said, “I will take it off your ticket and never come back”, I was frustrated and powerless, specially because my two kids were there, My 11 year told me, mommy did he said he doesn’t wants us there. I said to my boy, let go my love there are other options where we can go.
yes remembering the whole situation make me sick, this is a place that I will never come back and not encourage any one to do it.
PD. One waiter came to me and said I am sorry for you experience with us.

Not recommend.

1. Price isn’t correct or maybe overchareged.
2. Only authentic thing was a music.
3. No explaination about extra charge for sauces.

We juest left the shop becasue we don’t want to argumenet with the shop. I’m not saying it food was worst. It’s okay but not good enough to be called authentic. You may find better option for you.
