To start, we ordered the beef carpaccio (6/10) and the salmon tartare (9/10). The tartare was the highlight of the night to kick things off — very fresh, nicely seasoned, and well balanced. The carpaccio was enjoyable but didn’t stand out in the same way.
For our entrées, we had the filet mignon with wild mushrooms (8/10) and the Maine lobster with black fettuccini and tomato sauce (7.5/10). Everything came out quickly and nice and hot. The steak was cooked properly and had great flavor, and the lobster pasta was solid and satisfying, even if it wasn’t a total showstopper.
Desserts leaned a bit average for us. The pavlova (6/10) was good, and the chocolate d’amour (5.5/10) was fine, but neither felt particularly memorable.
We each had a pinot noir (×2), which paired well with the meal.
Service was really strong throughout the night. The manager came by to check on us, which we always appreciate, and the pacing from course to course was smooth.
Total bill came to $238 which we thought was a little on the pricier side, however it was a really beautiful evening.
Overall:
Food – 7.5/10
Service – 9/10
A solid dining experience with some real highs, especially in the appetizers and hospitality.
She is vision impaired and they were very kind, thoughtful with seating, friendly and just overall amazing. Our server she was just a burst of energy. I wish I remember her name. She came over with just pure kind whole hearted happy that you are here and made my gma have a fabulous experience.
As for the food, delicious per usual. We went on a Sunday for brunch. We had two drinks at the bar then two more at the table, two apps, two brunch entrees and a desert all for under $140. Not bad at all. I would recommend this establishment for the food, ambience day or night, good parking for west hartford center, staff , quality of food and a good place for any occasion
Thank you!
We had the fresh fruit with ricotta, and avocado toast. They were able to add smoked salmon to the toast even though it wasn’t on the menu, which we appreciated. The live music was a nice touch! The outdoor seating looked lovely on a nice spring day. Overall I’d definitely recommend this as a nice brunch spot in West Hartford.
The food and atmosphere were also great.
I would give a full 5 starts, except for parking. It’s difficult to find parking. But overall, it was a great experience ! I’d recommend this restaurant.
