The food at this place DOES NOT MISS. I had the curry goat, curry shrimp, rice n beans, and cabbage. I was scraping the last grain of rice off the plate! The price point is VERY within budget and it’s less than 10 minutes from the base. It’s inside a bar so if you see the bar you’re at the right place. lol

I can’t believe I found this little gem of a restaurant/bar staff very friendly, the oxtail is amazing you can tell the food is made with care and experience, the price for the drinks very reasonable! I highly recommend this place!

It’s a little cook shop that shares a building with Belly Busters. It has it’s own entrance on the left side. Can order for delivery on Doordash. The Jerk chicken is really good ! This is the only place in town that does Jamaican food. Used to have one at the plaza a little bit south from this location where the pizzeria and chinese food store is located, along with the new barber joint, but it closed down awhile ago. Food is delicious and the cook is friendly just say hello or ask for a menu when you pass by.

We did a quick Google search for nearby restaurants and this precious gem came up. So…location may throw many off but don’t be fooled by the looks. The gentleman that took care of us was wonderful and as we were leaving he assured us that we will be back – guess what, we will. The food was DELICIOUS . Our co-workers will follow-up tomorrow. I had the oxtail and my co-worker had the jerk chicken. The jerk chicken was spicy and delicious as well so if you’re willing to try this place out due come & support this business owner

This was my first and last experience at island taste fusion. I order a jerk chicken with white rice and cabbage. I literally had zero to no chicken on my plate mostly skin and sauce…rice was slightly over cook I would have ate it but I had no chicken to eat it with. Only good thing about the plate was the cabbage the cabbage was a 8/10 everything else was terrible

Most Authentic Jamaican food in ocean county. After moving back home from Philly at college I really was struggling to find a good authentic place to eat. Not only is the food authentic but the portions are great, the price isn’t bad and the customer service I received was very very professional. It’s so hard to find good places to eat around here besides Chinese, fast food, Italian or a Diner so to be able to buy a entire to go box of oxtail w rice and peas, steamed cabbage (that is amazing btw) plantain, Mac and cheese, a ginger beer and a side of jerk chicken all for 30$ I couldn’t believe it, and considering the portions are huge they not only feed me dinner but I always end up with extra to be able to bring into work w me. I highly suggest island taste, especially the oxtail and cabbage. It sucks that we don’t have more diversity in terms of food / culture sharing in this area so I really can’t stress enough when I say go check them out. I’d hate to see a place with such amazing food and staff ever struggle or go outta business, I was traveling all the way from Lacey Township to New Brunswick any time I wanted good Jamaican food bc I couldn’t find ANY in the area. Seriously give island taste a shot and you will not be disappointed
