Super mid. Wait staff was rude to my overly nice partner, and we paid $55 for a meager portion of bland old food. Italian is very simple, and if the sauce is watery and bland you’ve already forsaken the entire meal. Meatballs were dry and lacking in any substance. The fried raviolis were alright but they weren’t salted, fried food needs salt yo. Mostly seems to boil down to night time staff being lazy, and management either doesn’t care or is non existent at night.
Verona is better priced and the food is better but Benton is still suffering from a lack of good Italian. I don’t understand how places like this and Pasta J’s stay open. Its easier cheaper and tastier to make this stuff at home, and nobody will be rude to you for it! Mediocre food can be somewhat forgiven but the counter and bar staff being rude is so frustrating. Why am I paying these people to be rude?? My partner tipped them $5 and after the meal I just wanted my money back.

We tried it during dinner time last night. We had the fried mozzarella sticks, fried calamari, caesar salads and the ribeye special along with some wine. The food was phenomenal. They were out of the special Italian rice balls since we came so late in the evening.
We returned for an early dinner the next day to get the rice balls, and took the opportunity to try the flatbread, chicken parm, and eggplant parm as well.
My boyfriend is from NYC and is used to authentic Italian cuisine. Zero complaints from us on either visit. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. The atmosphere is calming and lovely. The chef knows what he’s doing. Verona and Olive Garden have nothing on this place. Hands down our new favorite restaurant.

My husband and I went Saturday evening for the first time. The food was good, but way overpriced for the portion sizes that you got. Atmosphere was great and service was good. I liked the atmosphere and the feel that it hot. But, for two people to eat there was highly overpriced. It’s definitely for special occasions or a date night. You couldn’t afford it all the time!!

Some of the best Italian food I’ve had!
It’s a very cozy and small dining space. I took my family here, a thing to know is that they do not have a kids menu. Though on some dishes they do offer half plates.
Our server was very attentive, friendly, and prompt.
Everything all 4 of us had was excellent! I loved that spicy arrabiata sauce with shrimp. The calamari appetizer was also crispy and tasted great!
As far as cons, it feels just a touch pretentious. Not in your face, but it was noticeable.
All in all, I’ll definitely come back! I highly recommend you give it a try, there wasn’t a bad thing I tasted!

Our group of nine dined at Italy in Town for the first time last night. The delicious entrees were served by an attentive and friendly waitress. The atmosphere was quaint. Everyone enjoyed their meals which included chicken piccata, eggplant parmesan, spinach ravioli , shrimp artichoke scampi, and chicken parmesan. All agreed this is by far one of the best restaurants in the Benton/Bryant area.

This was our first time and we loved it! I had the special, stuffed chicken. My boyfriend had the pork shank which was also a special. Both came with mashed potatoes and sautéed julianned squash and zucchini. The potatoes were obviously fresh homemade and the zucchini/squash was cooked perfectly. Omg!!! Just fabulous. My chicken was moist and the spinach and mushrooms were so fresh. My boyfriend’s pork shank was so moist it was falling off the bone. Service was outstanding from start to finish. We were both impressed. Waitress was kind enough to package the to go entree for my son, separate from my tiramasu dessert. Really great experience! We will be back. 5 stars and I don’t give many 5 stars!

It’s.. ok. The place looks exquisite and the atmosphere was just what you expect out of an Italian restaurant. The prices are a tad bit high for what you get – portion to price. I ordered the spaghetti chitarra at $16.75 and my wife had the penne arrabiata. They give you a side of bread with pesto that comes with the meals. The pasta tasted like it was missing something as in spices. The noodles seemed overcooked but still tasty with the mushroom and cheese. Would I come back? Sure, I’ll always give something a second try but, it would have to be a day when I am really craving Italian.

I always love eating at Italy in Town. The owner/chef Chico, is always adding new things to the menu, but the classic authentic favorites are there too. This is a great intimate place to meet friends or have a date.

Visiting family in town and so glad we got to visit this great restaurant! I think we each ordered something different so we could try each other’s dinner. Everything was great! Good and friendly service. They were working hard on a Saturday night with limited staff. Don’t think twice… just go!

Attempted to eat at Italy in Town on a slow Friday evening about 615. Seated quickly. Bread and salad came and then our waitress aka the manager we were later told didn’t come back for over 20 minutes with no drink refills. Time ticked away. 4-5 to go orders came and went. Over an hour later we asked about our food as we needed to leave in 20 minutes. We were told it would be out in 5 minutes that there was a mix up in the kitchen. 10 minutes later we went to the bar to cancel our food because we needed to leave. As they were canceling, the food came out. No apologies or attempts to make it right. We weren’t looking for a free meal, however to avoid ruining a customer relationship some discount should have been offered. We paid full price for a small flavorless Caesar salad and a drink. The whole experience was horrible. Probably the worst customer service in town. I would highly recommend Verona over this. Verona food was outstanding and customer service on point.
