While I enjoy Indian food, I tend to stay in the only lane I know of chicken tikka masala, rice, and naan. I haven’t explored much beyond that because, 1. Chicken tikka masala is delicious & 2. I have no idea what to order.

On my last visit, I ordered the combo dinner for one, to go. But, it fed myself and my 14-year-old (who has a bottomless pit of a stomach), with leftovers to spare!
The combo included tandoori chicken, chicken tikka masala, 2 veggie sides (I think they were yellow dal tadka & saag paneer), samosa, an appetizer of some sort of fried deliciousness, rice, garlic naan, & a rice, pudding style dessert.

First off the chicken tikka masala is absolutely delicious! So rich & creamy.
I’m so glad I ventured out of my lane because each dish was so flavorful.

The dishes are made fresh to order, so be patient. I promise it’s worth the wait!

I can’t wait to come back for one of their all-you-can-eat lunch buffets so that I can explore more flavors.

Sorry for the lack of photos. By the time I remembered that I should probably take one, half of the food was already devoured.

Taal Cultural Cuisine of India in Brea is a mandatory stop for visitors and those near the Brea Mall seeking high-quality, authentic Indian dining. The all-you-can-eat lunch buffet at $18 offers truly exceptional value, setting it apart in today’s market. The culinary selection is excellent; highlights include the rich Chicken Masala, diverse vegetarian dishes, and the flavorful Goat Curry. Furthermore, the service is highly attentive and professional. A strong recommendation for a consistently superb experience.

Second time coming through here for the buffet and quality of the food is very consistent. Everything is yummy, but I particularly am drawn to their goat. It’s chunky goat pieces with a good amount of meat that you can work for. It’s the fun kind of meat and it also has a good level of gaminess if that’s your thing.

I would like to go with 5 out of 5 for beautiful ambience, tasty food and well behaved stuff.

The food was exceptional, and I especially enjoyed the fish pakora and chicken skewers—both were cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. The non-veg entrée was also outstanding, with a great balance of spices that made every bite memorable.

Additionally, I must commend their staff for their attentive and friendly service. They made sure we felt comfortable throughout our visit and were always available to assist with a smile, which added to the overall pleasant experience.

Came for the lunch buffet after completing a job nearby and I’m glad I did. The food was excellent after trying almost every dish. I liked the somosas, tandoor chicken, and chili-chicken the most. The naan was fresh and perfectly soft yet crisp. There are even some refreshments included in the buffet including sodas and mango lassi. The lunch buffet is currently $18.99.

We recently revisited Taal after almost 20 years, and we’re happy to report that it’s still a gem. Initially, we were a bit unsure if the food would still hold up, especially since we are very picky about authentic Indian cuisine. Taal does have a slight Nepali twist, which adds a unique touch to their dishes.

We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, Vegetable Korma, and roti. The food tasted a bit different from other Indian restaurants we’ve tried, but in a good way. The flavors were rich and satisfying, showing that Taal still maintains its quality and authenticity after all these years.

The service was moderate—not exceptional, but certainly adequate. Overall, our experience was quite positive. Taal is definitely a place we’ll be returning to. If you’re looking for good Indian food with a unique twist, this is a spot worth checking out.

TAKEOUT PERFECTION!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We ordered Garlic Naan, Chicken MoMo, and Chicken Tikka Masala — and were BLOWN AWAY!

Everything was CAREFULLY PACKED — double wrapped, individually bagged, and still HOT and FRESH after a 15-minute drive home.

Garlic Naan: soft, buttery, and perfectly garlicky — I could eat a whole stack.
Chicken MoMo: tender, flavorful, and full of spice in the best way.
Chicken Tikka Masala: rich, creamy, and so good I briefly considered drinking the sauce.
You can taste the PRIDE and CARE in every bite. ❤️

Thoughtful service. Incredible flavors. Flawless packaging.
This place has officially RAISED THE BAR for TAKEOUT DONE RIGHT!

5 Stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Indian lunch buffet that includes a drink! This is awesome since it is so hard to find Indian buffets these days.

Buffet $16.99 + tax

They open at 11 am.

Great selection of food. Saag paneer, goat curry, Tandoori chicken, fried cabbage rolls, salad, yogurt dressing, tamarind chutney, cilantro chutney, pakora, samosa, chicken tikka masala, potato curry, gatlic naan, more! They have syrupy donut like balls for dessert, Gulab, if you’re crazy about those!

The restaurant is clean, the service is good, and there is plenty of parking. I will be coming back!

This is some of the best food I’ve ever eaten period. I recommend ordering everything spicy and I don’t have high spice tolerance. I’ve ordered many dishes and all are very flavorful and delicious. One of the best restaurants in Brea.
