The food is consistently good. That is the hardest thing in this town is finding consistent restaurant. We always get enchiladas, tamales, and dessert. Sometimes add on extras like Texas dip, flauta, taco, or guacamole. This time my daughter tried the Friday night special combo fajita salad. Everything was great. The delivery is through door dash, even though you can not use door dash to order. No option to add tip after deliver, only before. Which is sad cause with door dash I usually give smaller tip to start, then if it shows fast, hot and ready to eat they get more. Should add that option so good drivers get extra while the slow messy ones get what their fuel back and that’s it from me. ♀️
I recommend the Tacos Barrilas.
I would rate four stars, but I was thinking about it, and I realized there’s not one thing they could do better to earn that fifth star! So five stars it is 🙂
Make sure to order the 1/2 and 1/2 queso—you won’t regret it! As a queso connoisseur, I can assure you it’s thick, delicious and phenomenal. This is not cheese soup. It is cheese!! Everything on the menu is excellent, but the fajitas deserve special mention.
The beef and chicken fajitas come with thick, moist, and tender pieces of meat, while the shrimp are large, plump, and cooked to perfection. The charro beans and fluffy rice are on point. The guacamole is fresh with delicious chunks of avocado.
My husband raved about the Steak Ranchero, noting it was tender all the way through. These chefs clearly know how to cook and season their food.
If you’re a fan of CHICKEN FRIED STEAK, this is a must-visit restaurant. Their hand-breaded chicken fried steak is enormous and, according to my husband, absolutely delicious. I get it to go for him it is so good! I’m a queso and fajita girl all the way.
For those with MSG sensitivity, as far as we can tell, they don’t use it. I’ve had no migraines, so we’ll definitely keep coming back! #noMSG
Also, onion… if you don’t like onions they say you can get your food without it.
This is a family owned and operated restaurant and you can tell. They take pride in everything from the moment you arrive until you walk out the door. We will keep going back!
I ordered a three street taco plate with steak tacos and the flavor was great and the plate was HOT, which was also great. I also had a nice cold Topo Chico.
My wife ordered the three birria plate and also loved them.
We will return! If you are in the Quinlan area I highly recommend.
