A very busy place on a saturday night but the food was good, It was very busy with carry out dishes and the service in the restaurant suffered a bit but the food was great and we could see service improve as the load on the kitchen lessened. Good prove good food. Will be back

Great food, had to wait best part of 2 hours along side 20 other people who had been told a 30 minute wait. Poor service as alway. Workers always prioritise taking payment for the next order rather than fulfilling the order taken over an hour ago. A free beer doesn’t make up for the wait. Still taking new orders and giving the same timeline to new customers when 20+ people waiting

We have used the Raj a few times in the past, mainly for convenience as the food is just ok, nothing special.

Tonight we phoned in an order at 6:15pm and was told it would be ready in about 45 minutes. So we went to collect 45 minutes later. We ended up waiting for a further hour until the food was ready. Barely any apology from the staff. When we got home we realised they had forgotten the 2 portions of rice. When we phoned to complain they delivered them to the house 10 minutes later. After we had eaten the starters, we realised they had also forgotten the naan bread we ordered, but by this point couldn’t be bothered to complain again. So it took 2 hours to prepare a mediocre Indian meal for 2 with no rice and no naan bread?! A pretty pathetic effort!

Unfortunately Kinross is severely lacking in decent takeaways. I don’t think we will bother with the raj again. As usual the food was ok, but nothing special. For the money, time and effort you could get a better Indian meal from Marks and Spencer. We would much rather support local businesses, but after this abysmal effort from the raj I think we will try uber eats and get a decent meal from a restaurant further away.

Been many times but disappointing start tonight with soft chewy Poppadums, not crisp as should be. Lamb tikka was also not tender but tough and chewy. Chicken Tikka, Patia sauce and cheese nan were all very good. Never had problems before, so can only hope its a one off. Complained to waiter but no deduction on our £45 bill for two people was offered. Service was excellent. We advised we were going to a nearby concert, so we did receive quick service

We gave you a second chance after you reduced your portion sizes, but that’s it. 6 pieces of lamb, 2 prawns, tiny pakora that is more batter than chicken, a half full dhal and special rice with the special taken out. Hugely disappointed again. Let us know when you start doing reasonable portion sizes.

I don’t give 5 stars too often but this place really was excellent. The food was superb. Big potions and full of meat. Menu was extensive and reasonably priced. Very clean, great service. It’s an all round good meal out. Thank you

A revisit tonight for a take away. Same dishes as tge last visit and again we were not disappointed. The food remained good tasy quality and good value, several years later from our last visit… recommended once again…..

Ordered a takeaway fron The Raj Mahal tonight with delivery to the local Travelodge. Absolutely amazing tasting food. The delivery was eary, a pleasant young lady phoned to say the food had arrived.
We had 2x tandoori chicken with sauces wich was amazing then a beautiful creamy chicken korma with honestly the best pilau rice I’ve ever tasted and a nice peshawar nann wrapped in a foil bag.
Highly recommend this establishment and will definitely be back when next in the area. We’ll done Raj Mahal.
