Joe’s Italian Bistro NOLA, owned by Tina and Paulie , is the sister restaurant to both Joe’s Ristorante in Slidell and Joe’s Italian Ristorante in Ponchatoula. This family-owned restaurant was built with a mission to bring authentic Italian cuisine to our customers’ tables. We offer a wide range of Italian dishes, including pasta, pizza, seafood, meat, and vegetarian options. All our ingredients are carefully selected to ensure the highest quality and authenticity. Our pizzas are cooked in a wood-fired oven to give them a delicious crispy crust. We also have a selection of wines and cocktails to complement your meal. I had the pleasure of visiting Joe’s Italian Bistro during our family trip to New Orleans, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our visit. From the moment we stepped in, the warm and inviting atmosphere immediately set the tone for a wonderful evening.
The ambiance perfectly blended classic Italian charm with the lively spirit of New Orleans. Soft lighting, tasteful décor, and a comfortable seating arrangement made it ideal for a relaxed family dinner. It wasn’t overly noisy, which allowed us to enjoy conversations and truly soak in the experience.
The food was absolutely delightful. Every dish we ordered was rich in flavor, freshly prepared, and beautifully presented. Here for the Music City Championship…this place came thru clutch! Delicious food, prompt service. Great place to eat, especially near the convention center. Our food came out relatively fast, especially since the restaurant was full. Good place to get some carbs and protein for your athletes!

Had a wonderful experience at Joe’s Italian Bistro. The warm bread was absolutely delicious, and the food overall was great. The eggplant parm was fantastic; full of flavor and perfectly prepared.

The Wait staff was friendly and on top of things. The portions were decent and the food was excellent. Had the grilled chicken Caesar salad and it was well balanced, plenty of meat, the right amount of dressing. Topped it all off with a slice of cheesecake. highest recommendation.

I was craving pizza and found them off on a side street next to a subway. Our server, T. D was truly outstanding, his service and attentiveness was top notch! The pizza was pretty good, I prefer a little more seasoning but it was nice and hot.

We were in town for a football game and found ourselves hungry later in the evening. We came across this restaurant and decided to give it a try. The food was good, and they were able to accommodate our large party, which was a big plus. A solid spot to grab a bite!

We were hungry and thought this might be good. We should have known better since it was empty. There is no kids menu, they up charge for ranch and even for tap water. The wings are over breaded, over fried, and just drenched in their sauce. The chicken Alfredo was bland, no taste. The stuffed mushroom was ok. It was only four of us and they included gratuity of 14% in the check. Won’t be coming back.

So glad I came across this restaurant. Spaghetti and sausage was delicious. Definitely worth the extra 30min wait for it to be made fresh! Had 2 vodka cocktails and the service was amazing! Geti is a fantastic bartender/manager. My favorite Albanian person/duolingo teacher. Definitely come and check this place out.

Our server couldn’t be less enthusiastic about waiting on our group — a group typically filled with big tippers (especially when we were on vacation). Let’s just say that won’t be happening here.
