We went here for lunch for the first time today. We arrived around 2pm so only a few patrons but more came in while we ate.

Hubby and I had half-pound burgers which arrived perfectly cooked and very juicy on a very soft bun. The French fries were hot and not greasy. We each had a beer on tap. The burger was so big that I brought half home.

The waitress was friendly, pleasant, cheerful and checked on us several times.

We will definitely return as we enjoy finding good food and beer on tap. The prices were also very reasonable.

After walking on the C&W Rail Trail we stopped at High Falls Cafe for lunch. We heard about this place for years but don’t get to this area often. Walking in at noon there were only three people sitting at the bar. We were told we could sit anywhere. By the time we left it was busy. The server/bartender apologized a few times for being slow but we never felt that way. She was on top of everything; taking orders, getting drinks and bringing out the food.

They have live music on Thursdays and Saturdays. The walls have lots of classic rock record covers and pictures of many musicians. I’ve not been here for the music but I’m sure it’s lots of the classic rock from the albums hanging up.

For lunch we shared three things. A Veggie Quesadilla ($14) flour tortilla, cheddar, zucchini, portobello mushrooms, roasted red peppers, tomatoes, and sauteed spinach topped with pesto. The Casey’s Choice ($15) grilled chicken breast, sauteed spinach, portobello mushrooms and melted cheddar on a Kaiser roll. And an order of french fries. High Falls tries to use locally sourced produce and fresh ingredients as possible and it shows.

Everything was great. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the atmosphere is rock and roll.

If you are ever in the area you should stop in here for a bite.

Been here a few times. This was the first time I wasn’t completely satisfied. Turkey club needs better turkey. Ruben was good. Excellent fries – draft beer was ice cold and fresh. Staff was excellent.

Took in some live music and a quick bite to eat.

The food was average and nothing really felt outstanding and there weren’t any allergy friendly options.

The atmosphere is casual and very family friendly.

Where everyone knows your name. Great local restaurant & bar. Warm & welcoming staff, great selection of local live music. What’s not to love? Their new location is a big step up from their previous one. Highly recommended! Just remember to make a reservation as the Cafe is very popular and is often a “full house”.

Don’t order the little neck clam appetizer. It was so salty it wasn’t edible. We sent it back asking chef to try. Waitress came back said “Try ordering again next time you come back “ SERIOUSLY?! Didn’t apologize Didn’t take it off the bill or offer free dessert. Didn’t see owner who came around first time we were there to complain. We ordered personal pizza and fettuccine since it was pasta night. Both OK not spectacular.

An enjoyable, cozy spot in an unexpected location (Stone Dock golf course). The food was tasty and reasonably priced. The staff was quick, friendly and courteous. Don’t let the building’s humble/scruffy exterior scare you off – I think you may be glad you tried it… I know I am.

See photos! Mary our server (wearing local t shirt with head band ) suggested I try veggie quesadilla with shrimp. Richie had the chicken one. Both delish and filling. Owner Brian welcomes patrons and checks back asking about food quality. Mary’s part time and will be coaching Ulster girls volleyball! Go team! She’s super cute and friendly. Like I’ve known her for years 🙂 it was our first visit. All staff warm and welcoming! Family owned and operated. Brian’s got all immediate fam and then some working hard contributing to the business hoping for success. He nailed it! Just go and see for yourself! Thanks We will be back. Warmly, Ida & Richie

My husband and I stopped by today just after they opened at 11:30a.m. We ordered lunch.
My husband had a burger and I had the Reuben sandwich. We were delighted with the food and the friendly and attentive staff. We have been here on Sundays and had to order from the Brunch menu, which apparently is the only option on Sundays. This is the first time that I have been here on a Saturday, and I wish they had these food items available on Sundays. I hope the owner/chefs will consider offering the food items on Sundays that are available during the week.
