We went to have an impromptu lunch yesterday at Kohinoor. We were greeted by a very kind man. He graciously served us though the restaurant had staffing shortages and takeout was encouraged. He gave exceptional service. The setting was relaxing and the stylish tableware transported us to India. We started with a Big Taj beer to share and our server brought us some chutney sauces to try with one Papadum, a large crispy chip. They amused our palettes and got the party started. Our time was limited so I ordered a lamb wrap and my husband had the goat biriyani. Everything was delicious and so fresh. We want to come back and take our time, trying more dishes and receive the extremely hospitable and gracious service. Thank you so much for a lovely lunch!

We love this place! The servers are great and on the ball and the food is usually right on point. We recently tried their fusion tacos (either choice is great) and black widow mocktail (nom). Our go-to dish is Masada. chicken tikka masala.

Great customer service followed by great food. First off their garlic cheese naan is one of the greatest I’ve ever had. So much flavor in one dish. Literally the perfect pairing with any of the food you order there. We tried three dishes and they were all excellent. The chicken tikka masala was the number 1 hit, creamy, light but had wonderful finish of spices with every bite. We went mild and regretting not going medium for even more flavor. The Korma sauce fix the textbook definition of what that’s sauce is supposed to be, mild, creamy and nutty. Literally if I was trying to show somebody the textbook definition of this sauce, I would direct them here. Final dish was the Lamb Biryani and oh my goodness that lamb was so tender, the rice season to perfection and more importantly not greasy at all. Pair it with their homemade yogurt sauce and you leave super satisfied. Overall a great Indian restaurant in Benicia that highly recommend visiting if in that part of the Bay Area.

We had another great meal at Kohimoor. We took our kids for the first time and they too really enjoyed it. We ordered chicken tikka masala and chicken korma. Both were excellent. We also ordered tandoori chicken and it was exceptional. The service was also great. Our waiter, Gagan, was attentive and responsive. Kohimoor is the best Indian restaurant in town, hands down and highly recommended!

I want to say I didn’t know what to expect coming in. First, the place is very nice and cozy. It’s clean, and the people are very kind. I ordered butter chicken with garlic naan and their yogurt with veggies in it and it was absolutely delicious!! The basmati rice is also delicious! I will be coming here again and sharing it with family and friends. If you’re thinking about getting Indian food. This is 100% the place to come to.

Passing by the streets of Benicia and saw this place, so we decided to check it out one evening. We ordered the Pakora, Chicken Tika Masala, Mango Chicken, and Basmati Rice. My wife really loved their Tika Masala and said that it was the best one she has ever had. The waiter was very polite and provided good service. The place is clean, and I noticed they get a lot of to go orders. We will definitely come back to this place.
