If you’re in El Paso and not stopping by Manhattan Heights Tavern, you’re missing out! The martinis? FABULOUS! shaken with a little magic, I swear. The food? Every bite was delicious. And the desserts? Let’s just say they deserve their own fan club.

Shoutout to our server Adrian, he was awesome, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. This place nails it on every level: great drinks, amazing food, and top-notch service. I’ll definitely be back with my family again. This is the spot in El Paso!

Jesus Maynez is the best server in town. I always request to be seated in his section. He always suggests the best pairing for my food. His suggestions of the oso buco, the prime rib, and the Chilean Sea Bass never disappoint. Thanks Jesus for always giving me and my family the best experiences.

The ribeye, green chile risotto, fish and chips. These are good options. I don’t drink but the cocktails look good. The key lime pie was good and unique. Overall very enjoyable.

We give Manhattan Heights a 4 out of five based on the music itself. The restaurant is absolutely loud. Their music is very loud so it’s hard to hold a conversation with the person in front of you. My spouse and I ended up sitting side to side so we could hold a conversation. Besides the atmosphere the food was absolutely delicious! I had the fish tacos and my spouse had the Hawaiian chicken. Although my spouse did say he would order something different as he didn’t really like his Hawaiian chicken. The brussel sprouts were amazing! Gosh I wish we would have ordered more of those and their Mac & cheese was good. For dessert the creme brulee was very yummy. Parking is limited. So it was difficult to park.

Update: I called and left a message for a call back. I’ve yet to hear back. The business voicemail is also not set up.

Our experience at Manhattan Grill was extremely disappointing. From start to finish, the service and overall dining experience were far below expectations.

It began with a long wait for our server to take our orders. My parents were excited to try the Sunday Special, only to be told at the time of ordering that the Prime Rib wasn’t available. It would have been helpful to know this earlier, so we weren’t scrambling to choose alternative entrees, especially given how long the process already took.

From the time we were seated to the moment our entrees arrived, an hour and 45 minutes had passed. Even then, we didn’t receive everything we requested. Two of the four steaks and baked potatoes were lukewarm, and one was completely cold. While the cold steak was remade, it arrived long after everyone else had finished eating.

We also requested additional “bottomless salad,” which never came, and one of our baked potatoes wasn’t brought out until we were finished with our meal. While the restaurant did comp these missing items, it didn’t make up for the frustration and disruption to our dinner.

When the manager made rounds to check on guests, we shared our concerns and were told he’d follow up with the kitchen. Later, our server said he’d ask the manager to return, but that never happened. This lack of follow-through only added to the disappointment.

While our server was friendly, they seemed inexperienced. They struggled with wine recommendations and initially told us the Decoy Cabernet we ordered wasn’t available, which turned out to be incorrect. Additionally, they added a 20% gratuity to the total tab for a “large party”, though I do not recall seeing anything about gratuity being automatically added. We had a table of six and had planned to tip at least 20% in cash.

The entire experience lasted 2 hours and 45 minutes—far too long for such a poorly executed, overpriced meal. Overall, this was a frustrating and lackluster dining experience, and we left feeling incredibly let down.

The food was good the service was great. Went during a busy time and the waiters and manager still had time to stop by the table and ensure everything was fine.

I have been going to Thirty Five Tavern for a few years now. And I decided to come here since I was in the area. The service was great and for the most part so was the food. I had the oysters which were large and fresh, the fried shrimp which was the special for the day, the peel and eat shrimp which seemed a little small and I debated if it was actually 1/2 a pound. My only complaint would be the mussels. These were my favorite but after having them a couple of times recently I will no longer be ordering. The broth used to actually taste like tomato and be a beautiful red color. You have the option of adding chorizo which we regularly do. Before you could also see and taste the chorizo. NOW it’s non existent, even after ordering extra chorizo which I was charged $3.00 for it was non existent. I thought the first few times it was just that day but they have consistently been disappointing. The broth is flavorless, doesn’t taste like tomato or chorizo and is very pale. I asked the server to ask if they had changed the recipe or the chorizo and she came back and said they didn’t. But it’s not the same, so either they are not making it the same or they are getting extremely low quality chorizo with zero taste. Either way I won’t be wasting my money on this dish, which is a shame because it was my favorite dish here… I have posted pictures of it before and now to show the difference in color and consistency.

Steak made exactly as I asked . The cook knows how to “cook” . Clam chowder is a must and good addition to any plate. Highly recommended venue .

My recent visit to Manhattan Heights was an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening out.We started our meal with the fried calamari appetizer, which was simply outstanding. The calamari was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, served with a tangy dipping sauce that complemented it beautifully. For our main course, we chose the seafood pasta, and it did not disappoint. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the dish was generously loaded with a variety of fresh, succulent seafood. Each bite was a delightful burst of flavors, highlighting the quality and freshness of the ingredients. The service was impeccable throughout our visit, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who made us feel right at home.Overall, Manhattan Heights exceeded our expectations with its delicious food and excellent service. We can’t wait to return for another memorable meal.

Stumbled across this gem as a local. Charbroiled oysters are the best I’ve tried in El Paso! Closest to New Orleans youll find in the desert. The raspberry martini was also great! The drinks aren’t weak at all , which is great. We went for lunch and it was not busy. The food leaves you feeling satisfied and like you ate clean. I will come back!
