Food was ok, if ordering from glass window. I ordered octopus salad, the octopus was very hard, I could not eat it, I initially was told 15 min wait for a specialty plate, I waited 10 min in line to pay, my plate was not placed in order at the back and at the register I was told it was a 30 min wait, which I passed as my husband order was already served and made no sense for me to wait 30 min as his food would be cold and dry. Very disappointed as I traveled 1 hour to try the food. I spend $40 on a regular rice bean stew plate, 2 drinks and 3 fried items. People should be asked if they are ordering specialty plates, as that is a main factor, that way customers can know if they order other stuff. Instead of them serving half of items and the other has to been put in order and wait for it. Very disappointed.

i’ll start by saying the food here is good as are all the locations. And I love having them in town. But for whatever reason, this location always skimps the meat on the sandwiches! You get a flat sandwich with almost no meat. If you go to any other location, the one on Malabar or any thrifty they load it up and you get a fat cheesesteak! Just be warned if you get a sandwich in the mall location . Oh, and they make you wait in line to order it, then you have to wait for it to get cooked. You should be able to order hot sandwiches at the hot food counter just like the Malabar location. So by the time you’re at the front of the line paying for it, food is finishing up. I shouldn’t have to wait 45 minutes for a cheesesteak . When it could be cut in half by just telling the lady what I want at the hot food counter. Can’t believe the owner and manager wouldn’t fix this for efficiency and customer service. People have lunch breaks.

It is hard to believe that this is a “mall restaurant!” The food is MUY MUY BUENO!!!! We had two combos, one with chicken wing entree and one with the port (pernil) entree. EXCELLENTE! The portion are HUGE, everything was fresh, flavorful, and hot! You could not ask for more. We also shared a slice of the carrot cake. One of the best carrot cakes we’ve had. And again, slice size is gigantic! Moist and full of flavor. The staff is very, very nice and helpful. Hope to be back in the area and try the other entree’s and the German Chocolate next time! Keep up the great work!

I have a lot of suspicion of mall food but this was a pleasant surprise.
We got 3 of the hot plates, pork, stewed chicken and beef and everything was great. The yuca was great and the stewed meats were tasty and well seasoned. Also the portions were huge (all three of us had to take half of it home). The worst parts for me were the line and the food court being pretty small.

I don’t know how there are lower than 3 star reviews, but whatever. The pernil, fresh and well basted. Arroz con habichuelas, plentiful well seasoned. The plantains should be either Maduros or tostones, but my husband and mother both had carne de res and loved it with yucca. Had no problem ordering, not sure why everyone is complaining for because for $12, I feel like I’m robbing this place. I have leftovers too! Delicious!

It breaks my heart to write this review, but unfortunately, the food was not good. I couldn’t finish it. I ordered churrasco mofongo. The meat just tasted odd; I’m not sure it was churrasco. The mofongo didn’t have much of a flavor. The soup was salty and had sooooo much fat I just couldn’t do more than 5 spoons.
