Just a 10-minute drive from Nickerson State Park, this cozy breakfast spot was a lovely find. We ordered an omelet, and the coffee was fresh and flavorful. The setting felt like something out of a fairytale—charming and peaceful. With all the flowers in bloom this season, the atmosphere was especially beautiful.

From the moment The Kitchen Café opened its doors in Brewster, it instantly became one of our top three favorite spots for breakfast and lunch on Cape Cod. The vibe is warm and welcoming, Whether you’re grabbing a quick cup or settling in for a hearty meal, this place invites you to relax and savor the moment.
What truly sets The Kitchen Café apart is its joyful and attentive staff—everyone always seems genuinely happy to be there, which adds to the experience in the best way. The food is beyond delicious. And let’s talk about the hot sauce station… it’s a flavor-lover’s dream, with so many options that it’s become my personal little heaven.
A few years back, they expanded the space to include a bar, and wow—it elevated the experience even more. Plus, it’s incredibly family-friendly, with a sweet outdoor grassy area and lawn toys to keep the kids entertained. Whether you’re a coffee connoisseur, a brunch enthusiast, or just looking for a cheerful place to gather, The Kitchen Café is a must when visiting the Lower Cape area. There’s truly something for everyone.

Had a very nice enjoyable breakfast UNTIL THE CHECK CAME! To be sure, our server was excellent, nice and friendly. We didn’t have a problem with their prices, perhaps a little bit high but not crazy high. They have a really nice range of omelettes and both the wife and I enjoyed each that we ordered, along with a decaf tea and an Earl Grey Tea.
It had been a really pleasurable experience but what the heck? We’ve never been to a restaurant that charges for hot water added to the same tea bags! $1.98 for hot water?!? Yes, that was the description on the check, indicating that the restaurant has an entry for that on their computerized checks.
Our waitress after initially saying that she herself was surprised by this policy, later returned to our table and had the hot water charged removed. She explained that she had erred in charging us, as that hot water charge was intended for patrons who bring in their own tea bags. But I’m dubious, with the wide variety of teas they offer, I’m in doubt of patrons bringing in their own tea bags.
The bottom line is that perhaps we would return to this restaurant when we’re on the Cape, but are hoping that the owner will add a reply to this post affirming that charging for hot water is not their practice as a method of boosting revenue in the expectation that most wouldn’t challenge the charge.

My boyfriend and I stopped in specifically for the Brussels sprouts, and they did not disappoint! We noticed another couple has stopped in to do the same. Very large portion and is shareable. We also got a gingerbread latte, which was delicious and not too sweet! Girl behind the counter wasn’t very friendly honestly, but the interior is really cute and cozy. Would for sure come back.

Amazing breakfast! Not cheap ($55 for 2 people including one fancy coffee) but good, fresh food isn’t…and they serve Pain d’Avignon toast. IYKYK. Not a long wait, even on a beautiful summer morning, although parking appeared to be a challenge; we rode bikes from Sweetwater Campground. Yummy meal, delightful service, options for indoor and outdoor seating. Go.

Ordered a mocha latte expecting usually a creamy rich chocolate sauce to be mixed into my coffee. Instead I recieved a coffee made with “chocolate” syrup that is a cocktail flavoring syrup that provided zero chocolate flavor, even after asking for more pumps. To pay $6 for something so low quality and deceiving was ridiculous. Will not be coming here again and I don’t recommend the coffee. How could a mocha be light brown??? Don’t call it a mocha, just list your syrup as chocolate so customers don’t feel lied to.

Excellent food. Lot’s of selection for breakfast foods. All food was served hot and delicious. They didn’t ask what kind of toast I wanted, but ended up with one slice of sourdough. My over easy eggs were overcooked, but plenty of bacon and delicious home fries. There are other food trucks to take up the slack when the kitchen can’t keep up. Good parking. Things for the kids to do. Staff were friendly. They also serve adult beverages.

The food was ok. Super overpriced. Locals seemed to be very satisfied, but I wasn’t much impressed.
The cashier was nice, she told me children size waffle was very small, I got a child size, my daughter got regular size, it was the same size for both, mine came with one and hers with two… 60$ for what you see…

This is a really terrific breakfast place. One of THE best lattes I’ve had ever! Great ambience- you can eat inside or on beautiful terrace. Food was great. The breakfast burrito was super tasty would not change a thing and the yogourt-oatmeal bowl with fruit was fantastic! You place your order at the counter and they give you a number, when your meal is ready they bring it to you, self-serve for condiments etc. this works really well since it’s super busy so you are not waiting on staff to serve you or bring the check. Definitely on my list to visit again next time I vacation in Cape Cod. Sorry already too a bite out of the burrito before taking the pic 😉
