Yum Found this place on our way back to our B&B. Interior was clean, Japanese themed, and comfortable. Booth and at bar seating available. Large variety of sushi, hibachi, appetizers, and adult beverage options. Our server was friendly, attentive, and beyond amazing Everything we ordered arrived temperature hot, flavorful, and delicious. Overall ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Exceptional sushi for land-locked Kansas, and Tokyo has better food, in my opinion, than the primary sushi restaurants in Manhattan. The atmosphere lacks ambience, but the food more than makes up for that. Tokyo is a regular go-to with friends and family for sushi, and a lot of soldiers eat here as well. Big portions on bento dishes and specialty salads, and yummy special sushi rolls!

I’d like to start with giving a huge thank you to our server Katrina, she went above and beyond to make me and my fiancés night. She was so patient and kind, she’s really out going and had a positive attitude, she’s extremely easy to talk to as well. Our dinner at Tokyo came out excellent!!! My only problem here is the manger or owner I’m not sure who he is, but he was extremely unkind to our server Katrina. The minute we walked in he yelled at her that she had a table. Now tonight was Super Bowl night so I know it can get hectic, but that’s no reason to be yelling at your employee. I noticed she was the only server there, which was odd. Threw out the night we noticed that Katrina seemed off balanced and exhausted. She informed us that she’s been there all day. We heard Katrina tell her boss countless times that she wasn’t accepting anymore tables. Which I understand as for someone who’s been at work since they opened and it’s 8:30 at night. And he proceeded to accept everyone that came in. I understand accepting customers bc it’s a dining establishment, but if you see your employee is struggling and overworking herself as she’s been working for a full day, you should take initiative and serve tables as well. Shame on him for being selfish and unprofessional.

My favorite Japanese Restaurant in the JC-Manhattan area. My server was friendly and attentive. I appreciated the fact that she told me up front that the food would take 20 minutes or more, on a busy Friday night. She took my appetizer order and did an amazing job checking on me. They are always busy here, with a brisk take-out business. My sushi rolls were delicious. Everything was exactly as I wanted.

Was super quick and super delicious we had a mobile order and everything was there packaged nicely this was the first time I actually enjoyed miso soup! The pork katsu binto I got was delicious and the sauce was really nice! The steak into my wife got was very tender cooked to perfection topped with sautéed veggies! Would go again might even go tonight we’d been looking for a good sushi binto place since being stationed here and we definitely found it!

Overall I would say that this is a good place to go if in Junction City, KS. 2 adults, and two children costs us about $100 before tip however it is a sushi place, and as you know it can add up. Fish was fresh but thin and larger rolls for the price would be nice. The staff was very friendly and that kind of made up for the thin rolls. I would definitely eat here again. Enjoy the pics below.

I would like to give a better review but I can’t. I did an online order and didn’t get what I ordered. This could have been a simple read the order and follow the order. Nothing major just wanted my steak medium rare, white rice and some chili oil on the side. I just wish it was a better experience this time for me.

Food was not good at all and neither was the service. I waited for about 30 minutes before my food came out and it had a dead fly right in the middle. The server suggested I just take it out and eat around it.

Okay food and quiet atmosphere when you eat lunch on a weekend. Service is very friendly and prompt. Price is okay considering the times we live in. For myself and my wife, we had enough leftover for a late afternoon snack.

Really good food, friendly service, clean restaurant, reasonable prices. My wife and I came here for lunch and got a “big mouth” roll, a bento box, and a hibachi plate. Everything was tasty and well-prepared. I really can’t complain about anything. The music on the speakers was hilariously chaotic in terms of genres and that was really the cherry on top! We’ll be back!
