The food was just ok…unfortunately I have had really good seafood broil and this one falls flat. Seasoned well, but portions lack (1/2 of a corn coblet) and everything is ala cart if you want to add to your bag.

Mimi was my server, I am not much of a sea food eater but it was good. The Cajun Rice with Shrimp was really good, if you like it spicy, get the medium. If you want it hotter, they will give you hotter sauce. Fries and Cajun chicken wings were spicy, crunchy and well cooked. What really topped it off was the service. Excellent service. Mimi was great but the whole staff was awesome.

Cajun seafood boil is one of my all-time favorite foods, and I’ve tried it in several different states—so I was excited to check out Sea Shack, especially since it’s the only Cajun seafood spot in the area.

The experience was a bit different from what I’m used to. The flavor of the boil was milder than expected, and I was hoping for something more bold and rich. It wasn’t bad, but it didn’t quite hit the mark for me. That said, I still enjoyed the seafood overall—especially with the sausage add-on, which I’d highly recommend!

I really hope they continue to refine their sauce to bring out deeper, more authentic Cajun flavors. With some improvement, this place could definitely stand out more.

Cajun seafood boil done right. We had combo 1 with crawdads, shrimp, and mussels. The mussels were the best – the flavor soaked in the most. Beware that mild spice is MILD. Absolutely no hotness at all. We ordered another 1lb of mussels and got them medium and that was more towards our usual expectations. Looking forward to going back.

Absolutely disgusting — if I could give 0 stars I would . I found a wad of hair in my seafood boil after I already started eating it . It was completely unsanitary and completely ruined the meal obviously . When I called to let them know, they offered me a credit, which I refused because I would never eat there again. I then asked for a refund, but the clerk said they don’t process refunds on weekends because of the banking system and they would have to wait until Monday to process the refund which can take 2 weeks . This was not only gross but also terrible customer service. I will never return.

These ladies are trying their best and I see that. However don’t tell everyone 15 mins if it’s going to be 45. Maybe ramp up your staff coverage on Fridays. It’s lent. Everyone is going to choose seafood.

Food was nastyyyyyyyyyy. It was sweet so where’s the Cajun. Not to mention the mash potatoes I got… and 3 cuts of broccoli and probably like 5 shrimp. So disappointed and will not be retuning.

This is what I get for cheating on my go to. Jumbo Crab in Bolingbrook!

The restaurant was completely empty when we walked in on a Wednesday at 6 p.m. I didn’t know what to expect.

Nothing is really flashy at all about this restaurant. Simple decor, steel chairs and disposable covers on the tables.

We ordered Sea shack fullness which is basically pasta or rice, and then shrimp or crab on the side. I got the shrimp and you can see that in the picture.

You can have it at spice level mild, medium, spicy or very spicy.
I have a pretty tolerant spice level for spicy food and I got it made spicy thinking that it was not going to be that spicy. By the end of the meal, my whole scalp was sweating the spiciness
If you like spicy, believe me you’ll be perfectly okay with medium spiciness.

The waitress, Maddie, at the restaurant is very attentive, and a wonderful person all around who really takes care of you. Thank you Maddie If you’re reading this. You’re doing a great job and they’re lucky to have you

I found the prices to be a bit higher than I would expect for the food that was served. You can see from our plates in the pictures the food that was served. The rice or pasta by itself is $11 each and the six small shrimps we got were $9.
I understand inflation but c’mon…

Anyway, we didn’t have the crab at this place which was a mistake. That’s what I would recommend if you go to try this place out.

Food was good and service was decent. They offer some pretty good deals for crab legs and seafood. Food was good and it was nice to customize flavor and spice level.
