My wife and I stopped in at this fine little establishment in downtown Plainfield, Illinois for lunch on Wednesday.
I have eaten here many times in the past but never did a food and restaurant review so I figured no time like the present!
Started off our lunch with some cold drinks
They did not disappoint. After a few rounds we ordered our lunch.
We ordered the parmesan garlic 10 piece chicken wings with a side order of celery, blue cheese and ranch and a side order of tater tots
All of the food was very hot and very good and presented very well! I highly recommend both entrees! Some of the best wings and tater tots around this area hands down!
Hats off to this fine very clean little establishment!
The food, the service, and the atmosphere were all top notch & five stars across the board!
We will definitely be back.
If you haven’t checked this place out yet, they have weekly specials and music on the weekends head on down to Uptown Tap!

It was my first time visiting Uptown. I met up with a few guys from my Gym and we had an Amazing Time. We tried the Frozen Drinks Uptown is know for and their Burgers and Sweet Potatoe Fries. Everything was Delicious. Our Server was Awesome! We had an INCREDIBLE Time.

I discovered this excellent spot in Plainfield. We ordered the uptownie nachos, a build-your-own burger topped with a fried egg, and a crispy chicken sandwich.
The service was exceptional; the staff was attentive without being intrusive, our orders were taken promptly, and our meals arrived on schedule.
The food exceeded our expectations. The nachos were remarkably fresh, with no stale chips, and the avocado crema was so good!!
The burgers were juicy and cooked to perfection!
They also have local musicians that come to perform, which is worth experiencing.
There is a popcorn machine available to you, you can order some and the staff will bring it to your table. So, Indulge in popcorn while enjoying live music.
This spot is pretty compact, resulting in close table arrangements that made it necessary to frequently adjust my chair to accommodate passing staff, which was a minor inconvenience but I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here.

The place wasn’t very busy and the service was so slow. Only one of the waitress’s recommendations were very good. You go anywhere for a burger as she suggested The drinks were okay. Lot’s of summer drinks and it is January. The Ruben egg rolls were crisp and full of flavor. Fried pickles are a must.

Service is a bit spotty during my recent visits but the food/drinks have been great. Our most recent visit, I split nachos and the fried jalapeño coins with my table. There was more than enough to share between the three of us!
Our nachos did not have a protein but there was so much going on, it wasn’t really missed. The order of mini gyros was super cute and good. The fresh cut gyro meat had the crispy edges to add some texture to the meal. There are many interesting choices available on the menu, so I look forward to going back.

Great atmosphere, food and staff. My kids and I have been here several times and have had excellent service. Although on September 21, 2024, my youngest son and I had the best experience we’ve ever had there. Our server, Karina, was over the top outstanding, extremely attentive to our needs, even with several tables inside and outside that she had. She even recommended the loaded grilled cheese, which I had and it was fantastic!! Karina even took the time to talk to my son and me, even though it was obvious that she was busy.
Due to continued service like this, we will definitely be back to Uptown Tap again in the future.

Burger with Fried Egg and Cubano both with French fries. Burger cooked to perfection juicy and delicious. Cubano sandwich was full of Flavor. Fries were crisp and hot. Wednesday evening slow and our server had a very lack luster approach to service especially when my wife finished her drink and server was not keeping tabs for refills. Bar menu was as large as the food menu. They were touted as comfort food so i thought ok they might serve pot roast, broasted chicken, mashed potatoes, nac n cheese but that was not on menu. None the less the food was Great, Atmosphere Nice, Service could have been better.

We are visiting from out of town before going in we checked hours online showing 1am closing, but we were told to leave at 11:30 after we ordered drinks, we had to rush finish them. The drinks were OK but the service definitely not.

This is quite the place. With live music, great food, and amazing service i always love coming here. Uptown has a young / chill vibe and has live music on the weekends that is always good. I’ve been there a handful of times but haven’t written a review till now. I went on Friday during the final 4 games and it was packed. lots of TVs to watch from and drinks were flowing. Servers are always great there and are very attentive . We ordered the boom boom cali flower for an appetizer. One of my absolute favorite starters, really really tasty and doesn’t even taste like you’re eating cauliflower. Pretty good helping size but could be a tiny bit more. For my main meal I always go with the sliders. With a generous portion of 4 they fill you up after about 2. But that’s not even the best part. With the Caramelized onions and toasty bun, this will not disappoint you. Overall great restaurant and food and even better with the live band and TVs . Will come back here all the time since it’s local to me
