We didn’t eat, we went to the Speakeasy.

The bartender was great, just had a long wait for drinks that night. There was a large group and perhaps they didn’t give a heads up that they were coming to allow for another bartender. He really worked his butt off that night. It was just us when that large group left! We love the Speakeasy – very delightful.

A true classic diner!
The service was great, food was out quick, hot and fresh and the milkshake was amazing. Great quality and portions for the price. I highly suggest stopping in even though it doesn’t have a lot of traffic on a Sunday afternoon.
The guy next to me had a Bloody Mary that looked fantastic and had all kinds of finger foods on top of it.

The portions are large and the food is superb. The staff was friendly and even brewed a fresh pot of decaf for me. A+++

This is a really cool blast from the past gem in downtown Aitkin, Mn. It’s like you stepped back to the 50’s! And that’s a good thing. Elvis and Del Shannon playing on a jukebox in the corner really set the mood. Their burgers are absolutely amazing and made the way you like. Their split pea and ham soup is to die for! They also have frosty shakes and malts made perfectly to top it all off! When you’re in the north country, you have to try Big Tom’s!

Server was not very friendly. Asked what we wanted as soon as she put menus down. We asked for a few minutes to look at the menu. She never came back. There was only one other person there.

Nice retro diner with solid food choices. Been here about 7 or 8 times now and haven’t had any service or waitress issues that some people seem to have had. Perhaps they have addressed those problems since then.

Server may have been having an off day, but we kept havimg to ask for things that were forgotten (drink, part of food order). Food was overcooked/greasy. Paid more than i would have liked for what i got.

Don’t order biscuits and gravy if you expect sausage in the gravy. Traditional breakfast with links was great! Best coffee for a diner…

Mushroom and Swiss burger was tasty with fresh hamburger but the bun was small and soft. Fries were good but I wouldn’t say it was my favorite place for lunch.

Love the old school dinner vibe. decor records and old coke. Great service and some of the best country fried steak and eggs I’ve had in awhile. Gravy was very good and lots of it stop by and have some good food. Was hungry and talking and sorry forgot to take pictures
