I don’t usually write reviews, but this experience was bad enough that I had to. The servers were welcoming, but the food was not.eggs were overcooked, home fries bland, bacon chewy and flavorless, and the crêpe looked good but tasted rubbery. This place used to be good, but now it would be my last choice for breakfast.

The stuffed French toast was 10/10 homefries are delicious , I had a black bean breakfast burrito , lemon ricotta crepes I didn’t even get a picture because it was so good I scarfed it down must try ! Went back got the lemon poppy seed special out of this world so soft fluffy the strawberry was the perfect touch !

Grabbed some takeout breakfast for myself and a couple others. The parfait with cinnamon and fresh fruit was delicious, my office mates also enjoyed their combo meal and crepes. Only complaints would be the toast was not buttered, and I had asked for turkey bacon but received pork bacon *Shucks*.

F-a-b-u-l-o-u-s place I definitely will be coming back in the near future I hope , the atmosphere is so crisp and the homey feeling you get when you walk in and the food is exquisite huge compliment to the chef on these berry crepes. Elegant and I had a very merry experience. The crepes were just like I remembered from when I was really little. Another hidden Gem bravo to the servers you were extra classy and your attire looked fabulous. Hope you have a happy New Year

Nice little spot with a good breakfast that doesn’t sit heavy like say the Patriot diner. Only complaint is i wish they put a little more sausage in my sandwich but that is just me being picky.

The Modern Bistro is a nice little restaurant – one would dare call it quaint. The decor is comforting and has a bit of charm to it, but the chairs are the Devil incarnate. They are these torturous metal constructs that define discomfort easily.
Atmosphere and a sore bottom aside, the food is really rather good. I got the Near East Wrap, which is a perfect lunch for the hit and humid day on which I stopped in.
The muhammara is sweet and delightful, playing off of the briney olives and savory hummus. The tortilla it comes on has a chew to it, and the lettuce is crisp, giving a wide variety of textures to what could be a very mushy experience if the dish was not as well thought out.
It came with a side of homemade potato chips which had no real flavor aside from oil and potato. I would have liked to see something more interesting there. Bread and butter pickles were also on the side, and their sweetness was a good compliment to the wrap.
Over the years, I’ve eaten here a few times and I’ve never been disappointed. I just need to bring a cushion with me for my next visit.

We got two crepes, one the ricotta cheese and lemon and my husband got the savory ham egg and cheese crepe. The water had more flavor than the crepes if I’m honest. The ricotta was watery and gross, and tasteless, the whole thing was just unappealing. My husband (not a picky eater at all) said he’s never had food that didn’t have a taste. (We thought we had Covid for a quick second because we couldn’t believe how tasteless it was, but we both tasted the coffee which proved it was just the food ). $25 for a bottle of water and a cup of coffee. Never again.

Very delicious and lovely place. I got the Lemon Ricotta Poppyseed Pancakes topped with Strawberries and Strawberry Compote. Along with Sweet Potato Hash & Grilled Corn Slices.
