Yuck, I sure hope we don’t get sick. Where do I begin? While I love to patronize my peeps, after finally catching the establishment “open” it could’ve stayed closed. They actually sell koolaid while the cashier later sat in the room with us eating Popeye’s. My hubby got the catfish lunch with featured one, yes one piece of fish that was not fully cooked. I got the meatloaf which was decent, but the greens ugh. Gnats landed on our table while we were eating. The floor was sticky and the tables were dirty. This is just a nasty place and we will not be returning. It’s sad that cleanliness and customer service is non-existent. Instead of the owner taking feedback to improve her business, she responds with a smart and lame excuse. Word of advice “ don’t bother patronizing the know it all queen.”

This was our first time here. The service was professional the food was great. The mac n cheese was bomb as was the cabbage. The only issue was the dining room looked like an after thought it needed to be sweaped and better seating.

I went for the Sunday 19.99 Dinner special. It includes a choice of meat, 3 sides, cornbread, a drink, and even a dessert. All of the food was fresh and delicious. I would highly recommend this hole-in-the-wall restaurant. All of the staff is friendly to everyone that comes in.

I missed out on the ox tails! They ran out before I got there. The meatloaf had good flavor. There was some small stems that I found in my plate I’m not sure if it was from the cabbage or meatloaf. The macaroni was probaby the best from any soul food place. I just wish I didnt find those tiny twig things

On Sunday you get a choice of meats and rice or dressing then 2 more sides a biscuit a drink and a piece of cake all for 19.99 but the short ribs are higher. Its a great but for Sunday dinner stop by and enjoy.

Surprised at the choices of healthy food and good mix of veggies and meat choices. Also homemade drinks are refillable, other drinks like fruit juices and soft drinks available. Place is better for togo as sitting places are limited for 6-12 people max. Overall very good experience.

Absolute perfection! This is just plain good home cooking. It is 100% comfort food and I’m here for it! Also, I forgive them for taking me out of 1st place for Macaroni and cheese in my little son’s rankings 🙂 The customer service was impeccable. There were no forced pitches or platitudes. I really enjoyed my visit here and I can’t wait to go back. Worth every penny.
