Great down home cookin’ in a laid back, small town atmosphere. This BBQ place has been family owned and operated since the 1940s and truly is a hidden gem in the city of Fayetteville.

Great food and service, and fun Knick knacks around the restaurant. I especially like the biscuits, hush puppies, and house made secret bbq sauce. Yum!!!

What a nice staff! I love the small town feeling and we made a friend. The food is not of the healthiest but it is more of a southern pallet. You can create something healthy with a few changes. Overall it is good and the price you can’t beat it. We intend on making this one of our regular spots to dine in for breakfast.

Buddy’s has always been a fantastic place to eat. Everything is cooked just like home. The staff as well as the owners treat you just like family. I don’t even have to order when I go in, they are so personable with you. I sit down, they bring tea, and make my favorite plate for me. Stew beef and rice with two sides of mashed potatoes covered in Stew beef, yeast rolls and sweat tea. It is always lick the plate good. If you haven’t been yet, then quit wasting time. Do yourself a favor and everyone you know and check this great place out. You’ll be back.

In my opinion, it’s the best BBQ place in town, don’t let the look of the building and area scare you away. We’ve been here many times. A few errant times we’ve been given the wrong type of BBQ (like a very spicy batch that was supposed to be mixed into a larger batch), but other than that, I’ve enjoyed everything about the place — except the hours. It’s hard for me to visit! Great value.

0one of my best place to eat there. Owners are very friendly and courtesy. Me and my family loved to go to eat there. From the breakfast to the lunch. I loved the way they fry the croaker fish. And what to say about their special lunch menu. Very affordable and pleasant place to go eat there.

This is my favorite breakfast spot. The staff is friendly. The food is delicious. The fact they serve everything. Liver pudding, salmon patties, turkey bacon patties and links, pork sausage patties and links, corned beef hash, and ham. I wish I could give them more stars.

Great food, southern cooking, been in business for decades. And, as another reviewer pointed out, they sell everything. They have stuff that many other places don’t, like salmon paddies, liver pudding, fish and eggs, etc. Plus they’ve got good burgers, hotdogs, and other sandwiches if you’re not in the mood for a full plate.
From the outside you’d never expect it to be as awesome as it is, but it’s definitely worth stopping by if you’re near downtown and looking for a good lunch !

We stopped at this place during a road trip. BBQ seemed like a good idea. I got the pulled pork and they have their own spicy vinegary sauce. There was no other bbq on the menu, just pulled pork. No ribs that I could see, no chicken, no brisket—did I miss it? They had eggs and pancakes though. You pay at the counter. Our bill seemed on the high side. We were not handed an itemized bill, just told what we owed. We kind of wanted to get out of there, and did not question it, just paid it. We left the waitress a tip on the table. Later in the car, we talked it over and thought maybe they had included the tip. Should have asked. Not a fortune though. On the whole I think this place is for locals and if you are not a local, you’re better off elsewhere.
