Having the word Bao in their name is an embarrassment. I have been to the location in fairlawn and it’s terrible there and i figure this location can change my mind, but this is not Bao / soup dumplings. It’s getting 2 stars because the staff was friendly but everything else was terrible. The place would not survive in a area (fort lee, palisade park, montclair) that has good soup dumplings. The soup dumpling taste like costco soup dumplings that’s reheated in their steamer. Most of the soup dumplings were ruined because the bottom got stuck to the basket. The place was really cold, the warm food that we ordered was cold by the time it got to the table. The wait for food is super long. We didn’t get our dumplings until 45 mins after we ordered them and the place was not even packed. The people that were smart enough to order pick up got food faster than us. If you had decent soup dumpling anywhere else, you will be very disappointed with this place.

Wow! Bao dumplings may be the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. The quality, cleanliness, service, and taste of the food was amazing. I’ve tried many different Chinese restaurants and this is by far the best. I got the bao chicken and chicken and onion dumplings – so delicious. Highly, highly recommend this place in Verona. Shoutout to Danny at the counter!

The food is incredible and aesthetically pleasing. The staffs are so kind and accommodate the customers very swiftly. You can tell that all the dishes are authentic, and the staff even check up to see how everything is. I also love the variety yet the menu is not overwhelming like some other places, and the fact that they offer boba is great – you have everything you need here. Overall, if you want authentic and CLEAN food, you better come here! You will not be disappointed!

The food here is absolutely delicious. i order bao chicken, pepper steak, pork soup dumpling and bao special wok fried rice. mostly food taste absolutely great and dumpling is juicy. also, the staff was very friendly and showed us how to eat the various sauces that were provided. highly recommend this restaurant.

Happened upon this place and went for it. Apparently the best dumplings around. Hype or no hype?! Admittedly very impressive. They were really good. Had the shrimp pork chive fried dumplings and they did not disappoint. Also tried the beef noodle soup and it was good (not the best I’ve had but scratched that itch. My kids had the bubble tea and the boba was really on point.
The service was excellent and were really friendly to myself and my family. Extra brownie points.

We had the BEST experience as first time diners. Each dish arrived hot and the ingredients were all very fresh. We loved how the vegetables included weren’t mostly onions, as is the case in other restaurants. To our surprise, the owner had the chef whip up a dish after we mistakingly ordered the wrong one. My suggestion is to order the soup dumplings right when you arrive and have as an appetizer! Street parking is best on the same side of the restaurant, or use the crosswalk at PVW if you park on the opposite side – Bloomfield Ave at dinner time is crazy busy with impatient drivers.

The Mapo Tofu is excellent! The soup dumplings were really good too. The staff are so nice and helpful! We got the Tanghulu, which was also good, but I think my daughter just liked it because of the Tik Tok craze. I didn’t take a picture of the actual fruit, but here’s a Google image so you know what it is.

One of the most horrible meals I have ever had in the Asian food category. The Dumplings were cold the soup was without any flavor. They also charged you for the sauce that is put on dumplings. I guess the owners feel they can pull one over on the people of Verona. Do not go here unless you want to just throw away your money.

The food is delicious and so are the teas. The staff is so polite and helpful. Kind and smiled the entire time, they come when you ask and brought out food in a timely manner.
Definitely going back! I loved the pork and crab soup dumplings and the chicken and broccoli was the best I’ve had from any restaurant, and everything else we got was absolutely great too!

Best dumplings I’ve ever had!! Strawberry boba milk tea is also amazing. Very friendly staff and fast service. Inside is well decorated. Love this place!
