We decided to try this restaurant as it’s new and close to our home. As we walked in on a Sunday afternoon we were surprisingly seated quickly. Ordered an appetizer and two entrees. My wife’s food was very good, mine was ok – (the lamb was a bit too salty on the gyro and too crispy for my taste). However their onion rings were amazing. The portion size was off the charts. They even also brought us two ‘on the house’ donuts which were delicious. The restaurant isn’t huge but had a nice open layout with good space between tables. Thanks to Miguel our waiter who made sure we had what we needed at our table. Would we go back, yes we would recommend however I would try something different.

I’ll start to say that we didn’t order any of the wild dishes that they are more well known for. We ordered pretty standard food, but I will say the portion sizes were great and all the food was delicious. The staff was very nice and attentive. They brought us some of their house made donuts near the end of the meal on the house. I imagine they were maybe making a new batch and had leftovers (I saw them taking some donuts to another table too). Or maybe it was because we went with the small child and they thought it would be nice for her. Either way, it was very nice.

The decor and atmosphere is really nice. I really enjoyed the vibe. They definitely have some epic dishes on their menu that I think we will come back to try on a day when we don’t have a young kid in tow. It’s definitely meant more for adults than children, although kids aren’t out of place there.

We had the souvlaki platter, the grains and greens salad bowl, and the kids Mac and cheese. Everything was just really good. Very filling, very homey, and large portions at a good price point. The donuts were the cakey homemade ones with cinnamon sugar and they were perfect.

Overall, would definitely come back. Definitely want to try some of their more creative and bonkers menu items.

Elm Street Diner in Norwalk, CT is an absolute gem and an experience that goes far beyond a typical meal! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by an incredible staff that makes you feel like a regular even if it’s your first visit! The team is energetic, welcoming, and genuinely happy to be there, creating a warm vibe that sets the tone for everything that follows 🙂

The environment is pure fun! Whether you’re there for a casual breakfast or a big celebration every visit feels special!

And then there’s the bold, indulgent, and unapologetically over the top food… Elm Street Diner doesn’t hold back!! Portions are generous with big flavor & every bite is purely delicious.

From the amazing staff, the high-energy atmosphere, and food that you’ll be talking about for ages this is must-visit in CT. We cannot recommend it enough!!!

Wow. Wow. Wow. This is such an amazing place to grab a bite to eat, enjoy a tasty beverage, and they have something for the whole family. It’s the kind of place the minute you leave you are thinking about what you are going to have next time! The staff is amazing and you will just fall in love with this place at first sight. Check them out in CT as soon as you can. Elm Street diner is so much more than just a diner, it’s an experience.

This place was absolutely horrible. The first issue began with the service. As soon as we walked in I heard one of the servers say “theres five of them bro” in Spanish. They said this because they had over an hour before closing when we walked in. They waitress was extremely rude and rushing us to order. They continued to speak in Spanish thinking that we didn’t understand them. The next issue was the length of time to receive our food. It took over 45 mins to get our food! The final issue was the food, the chicken parm sandwich was absolutely disgusting. It was the cheapest chicken patty I have ever tasted, it was rubbery and bland. The Mac and cheese balls weren’t terrible but they were cold and dry. Overall I would never come here again.

✨ ELM STREET DINER – The Icon of Indulgence ✨
If there’s one spot that proves “extra” is absolutely a love language, it’s Elm Street Diner. This place isn’t just a diner — it’s an experience, a mood, and a full-on celebration of comfort food turned into edible art.
Elm Street Diner doesn’t just serve food — they serve moments. Their dishes are unapologetically loaded, photogenic, and built for people who want flavor first, calories later.
We loved :
✨ Stacked burgers dripping with sauces
✨ Chicken & waffles that taste like Sunday morning
✨ Milkshakes topped with entire desserts (no, really)
✨ Mozzarella sticks big enough to have their own zip code
✨ And those OTT creations that go instantly viral every time they hit the table

Everything is fresh, bold, and somehow nostalgic yet totally new. The portion sizes? Generous is an understatement. Bring an appetite… or a friend… or three.

As much as I love the Stamford location, today’s experience was disappointing to say the least. Only people dinning in at 10:05am, staff was more focused on removing Christmas decor that serving your fantastic food. We got all 3 plates, barely warm (borderline cold), flavor was ok but far from what the original spot was offering. No visible manager on duty to address the situation. Need to pay more attention to food, look and Instagram pictures won’t do it for you.

I’ve been watching Elm Street Dinner on Instagram for months. Almost stalker vibes. It’s sad. On our way there I was watching their reels and was drooling over the foods being featured. It took us almost 2 hours to get there but, we finally made it. The drive was worth the trip and we will definitely go again for sure.

The staff was very pleasant and kind. They had both inside dining and also had an outside dining area in the courtyard that had a water fountain. The atmosphere was very inviting. It was nicely tucked away from the busy traffic noise. The restaurant is also kid friendly because they use bright, fun colors in the seating area.

But enough about that, let’s talk about the food. We ordered the churros sticks that came with nutella, caramel and maple syrup. Omg…Delicious! We were very impressed that the nutella and the caramel was not sweet at all. They were just right. The combination of the nutella, caramel and churros was just wow! The manager Charice stopped by our table for a chat, she said that they make either own toppings, donuts, maple syrup, etc. and they take into consideration the sugar levels, which was very nice to know. So, even though the deserts may look very sweet, that may not be the case with their treats.

I ordered the meat lovers, mac and cheese melt. Delicious! My s/o ordered the honey barbecue chicken waffle fries. That was amazing, too. For our drink we each had a strawberry bliss, mimosa. Overall, was not disappointed in the food and the blending of the flavors. Also, the portion sizes were filling and or shareable.

The only disappointed I had was that I couldn’t order more because I got full and couldn’t finish my meal.

Overall, great experience.

Over the top menu items. Check out their social media and you’ll see why this place is a must see. The food is wild and tastes great. If you’re up for treating your sweet tooth, certainly stop by this place. I recommend splitting some of the big menu items.

Elm Street Diner is one of those places that truly lives up to the hype. The over-the-top dishes and milkshakes are as fun and Instagram-worthy as they look, but what makes this spot stand out is that the food is also high quality and absolutely delicious.

Everything I’ve tried has been fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. You can tell the team cares about making food that’s both creative and worth coming back for.

The staff is always friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. Whether it’s brunch, dinner, or just stopping in for a treat, I always leave full and happy.

Elm Street Diner isn’t just about presentation—it’s a must-visit in Norwalk for anyone who loves great food.
