We are doing low carb so typically the burger would have a bun on in. (see pic) In my preconceptions, I thought the brisket burger would be beef with slices of brisket on top. The menu doesn’t have descriptions, so when in doubt, ask. The brisket is ground into the patty and it was delicious in flavor.
My pinpoint thoughts:
Pros:
Clean
Decor on point and nice atmosphere
Salad and burger delicious
Waitress was trying to do a good job
Real bacon on salad.
Cons: (1 star deduction)
Small portion on the baby burger. 🙂
When we entered, two girls continued in a personal convo for awhile before moving to look at us or seat us (not trying to be extra, but was odd)
I’ll go back and check it out again!
My wife and I came in on a Friday afternoon around 1:00, and we were seated pretty quickly. The menu does not do a good job at all in explaining what the items on it are, only listing the names and price, causing a lot of customers (ourselves included) to have to ask their waitress what comes with or on things.
We ordered two cheeseburgers, mine with onion rings and hers with fries. It took 40+ minutes to get our two burgers, and by that time, our sides (fries/rings) were cold. The onion rings in particular were very overcooked and burnt, which was odd since they were so cold at the time I received them. A gentleman sitting at the table behind me also told his waitress the same thing about his onion rings, to which I turned and agreed that mine were also cold and overcooked.
The burger itself was just average, it wasn’t cold and despite the state of the sides, was freshly cooked and still hot. However, the patty wasn’t large enough to properly fit on the bun, and my wife’s condiments (mayo/ketchup/mustard) had all been placed very poorly to the point that none of it actually made it to the burger, and it instead fell off onto the basket it was served in.
When we were leaving, we heard another customer complain about their onion rings being in the same state as the previous two complaints.
The waitress wasn’t very friendly, nor was she rude. She just seemed very disconnected and unenthused about anything she said or was doing.
The environment is nice inside, the menu selection is good, and the pricing is surprisingly very reasonable. If I heard that things have improved, I would definitely return and give it another shot. However, as it stands, as much as I hate to say it, a Quarter Pounder from McDonald’s still would have been preferable to both the experience we had as well as the food we ordered.
My husband ordered the ribeye ($18) and it was tough and had a lot of gristle in it. His vegetables were over cooked and almost mushy. Baked potato was the best part of the meal.
Last, but not least…..I don’t mind paying the price when the food is good, but this was in no way worth $45. Not a good first impression
Brisket burger was dry. No toppings. No condiments. Nothing but burger and bread……. on a plate.
Seriously?
Who does that?
Other restaurants need my hard earned money more than one that obviously doesn’t care about what they serve to their customers.
