This is a great locals spot for delicious homemade food. I love the chicken soup. They give you a large bowl for a great price point and it is super filling. The bean dip is the perfect starter to enjoy with salsa and chips.

When you are in Ventura this is a great place to stop and have lunch or dinner. We had a great meal and the service was good. Our waiter listened to our requests and made suggestions when we asked. They include chips and salsa on your table. Which many Mexican restaurants no longer do for free. The drinks were refilled quickly and the food was some of the better food we have had in the area. This last visit I tried the the bacon-wrapped shrimp, with Spanish rice and a side salad. It also came with flour tortillas that moist and warm inside of tin foil. It was a tasty and filling meal.

I got a salad with shredded beef and grilled chicken. The shredded beef was super flavorful but the grilled chicken was a lil flavorless. Ranch dressing was super yummy. Chips and salsa and bean dip was yummy. My bf got a chimichanga, My best friend got a taco and enchilada meal and her daughter got a quesadilla. We all were satisfied after the meal. It was great service and not that busy when we went for dinner. We will be back again.

We were traveling through California to visit the national parks and went to DV’s for dinner on a Wednesday evening after visiting Santa Cruz Island. Our server was very friendly and personable. Food was excellent and they give large portions. Definitely deserves 5 stars.

Excellent food. My family and I got, chorizo tacos, fish tacos, calamari tacos, and chicken tacos, all were pretty good. Shared the guacamole and cherro are not to be missed. The service was very pleasant. We will definitely come back.

Today was my first time stopping in at DV’s and I was pleasantly surprised. Normally I wouldn’t so easily give 5 stars but it was all around great. My only complaint today was I on my lunch break and didn’t have the opportunity to dine in and enjoy more of the great food. However I ordered a tri-tip burrito to go and a pastor taco. The tri-tip burrito was amazing, by far one of the best ones I’ve had in some time. Can’t wait to go back and have it again and bring some family and friends with me. Staff was nice and friendly, helpful too. Chips and salsa were pretty good too. Prices were very reasonable for the portion size and good tasting flavorful food. So glad I stopped in to try DV’s today and I look forward to being back very soon, thank you.
