Example: I ordered through Door Dash the following: 2 foot long subs and a 6 inch sub. A task too daunting evidently. When I received the bag from Door Dash it was sealed. What do I find upon opening it? One foot long and one 6 inch sub. I requested a refund on Door Dash, but decided to call the store. Apparently the customer is never right. When I explained the situation I gave my name. “We don’t have a Door Dash order with that name.” Oook. After telling them the contents of the order it was “Oh, yes. We have that order.” How was my name not enough to find my order? It’s on the Door Dash receipt.
Regardless, this order catastrophe was apparently enough to warrant calling the store manager. Really? So after about 15 minutes or so (I’m sure some real war room stuff was going on during this time) I got a call back. The conclusion was made since I placed the order with Door Dash I’d have to reach out to them for a refund. Which I had already done. However, let me remind you that the bag was sealed in their store. Of course that was after THEY didn’t put the other foot long in the bag. So since THEY screwed up, it’s Door Dash’s fault. I imagine in the employee’s mind, the Door Dash driver somehow, defying all laws of physics, phased my other sub out of the bag, sabotaging their integrity, and left it in limbo. Or evaporated it. Or went back in time and snatched the sub right off the counter without anyone noticing. Some real Dr. Strange stuff.
I’ve had an different issue in the past with this store, but it all comes down to them not taking responsibility for their mistakes and never taking it into consideration to make things right.
So I would advise anyone wanting Subway to go somewhere else. Never order from this store. If they screw up your order…oh, who am I kidding, WHEN they screw up your order, don’t expect any friendliness or desire to please the customer. You can very well expect gaslighting or Dr. Strange stealing your food.
Look, subway, if I wanted a jimmy dean sausage sub I can make one myself. I was looking for a decent meatball sub and if there is beef in those meatballs you’d have a very hard time convincing me.
I had acidic sausage burbs that wrecked my appetite until I could get that out of my system well into the next day. Jimmy Dean doesn’t taste good in marinara sauce either. If pork meatballs don’t agree with your system or taste buds I’d avoid it with a passion.
Had I known they had changed the recipe I’d have never bought the sandwich.
The experience was so off putting I will never be able to think the name subway without losing my appetite for a long time. I’m not interested in it “being made right” I’m interested in the food not making me sick and using better quality ingredients.
