I didn’t see a soul food menu, I ordered a small rib tip,the tips are tender there was a spice I didn’t like, no smoke ring and could have been chopped smaller didn’t like the sauce and the fries needed to be cooked longer but you can try them for yourself.

Forget the girl at Burger King…Noriah ( I hope I am saying her name correctly) at Lawrence’s in CC Hills, Illinois should get the soul food employee of the year! She handled about 8-10 customers taking orders, cooking food, chopping up rib tips, slicing cake, grilling fish, boxing food…plus more! I was so impressed! She was AMAZING! I will be back for those rib tips soon! Thank you so much for your wonderful service!

Today was my first time here. Only 3 people were working that I could see, and the young lady on the register usually does the baking. It took a while to place your orders. My food came out wrong, I ordered the rib tips with 2 pieces of catfish and paid $5 each for extras sides, I asked for cabbage green, and I got collar greens, no cornbread and only 1 piece of catfish. That meal cost $25. There are no condiments on the table, I had to ask for bbq sauce, no water, and when we got the water, no cups to drink the water. There’s definitely a lack of management at this place. I tipped the young lady at the register because she was working hard and was very polite, the young lady who got us water was also very polite. The young man LOOKED like he was doing 10 jobs and was getting it done. I really appreciated their effort today. They need help, BADLY. Come on, owner, do better. Yes, it was busy, but being prepared is everything, no matter what or how many people come in on a given day. Also, the lady I was sitting with got her food way after me, and she ordered before me and others. It was 3 tacos.

The service was not up to part. The dining area was not the cleanest. The lady which I assume is the owner. Basically accused us of stealing cups for drinks. The food was not hot nor was it good. The food messed me up the next day. Why have a dine in option, then don’t cater to the customers. We don’t even get complimentary water. I would not recommend.

I went in today. The young lady tells me they have no catfish or greens. Two of the items I wanted. So I ordered 2 meals. The Veggie meal comes with 2 sides and 1 meat. I chose yams and mac and cheese with green beans. The 2nd meal I ordered was smothered chicken with rice and gravy, mac and cheese, and yams. The 2nd meal was correct, but the veggie meal was missing the mac and cheese and the meat, which was baked chicken. I live in Alsip, so I made it home to discover the order was wrong. I called several times, but the line was busy. When the line finally cleared, the phone just rang and rang. Make sure to check your order before you leave. Chicken and yams were ok. Rice and gravy, not so much.
