Ate here on the Friday after Labor Day, I hope they were understaffed because the service was terrible. We were asked to wait for them to “catch up on orders before they took our order” The kid that eventually took our order left 5 times during the 90 minutes we were there on his blue Yamaha street bike and drove on the sidewalk asking customers to move. The inside of the restaurant was locked and we were forced to sit outside. The food somehow took 50 minutes to make. The shakes were decent, the burgers were excellent and the fries were cold. The bathroom was scary. Would not eat here again.

The shake and burger were good. The biggest disappointment was the 6 onion rings for $6 followed by the quarter slice of pastrami on the pastrami burger. For the price they charge, they shouldn’t be skimping.

We have been coming here for quite a few years now. It is one of two places that we go to when we go to Bear Lake.

I am a huge fan of their raspberry shake. Hometown makes some of the best shakes in the area which says a lot considering the competition.

I also love their onion rings and fries. It would be nice to get some more fries, but oh well. You should definitely give this place a shot.

Traveled from England was recommended a famous raspberry shake. My goodness I’m glad I did. Absolutely amazing, and fabulous customer service.
Thank you for a culinary delight.

A definite go to this local ice cream hotspot.

The shakes and malts are amazing with large serving over flowing the cup. Not made with local fresh raspberries anymore after they had a year of severe crop failures, so I understand.

Bacon cheeseburgers were very good.

My son says that McDonald’s makes a better hamburger and just did not compare to the other burgers. Hence the 4 stars.

The fries were delicious but a small serving for what was advertised as a jumbo. They were not expensive though. Probably best for 2 people.

There are only two burger places open on Sunday and so we came to Hometown Drive In on our way out of town. There was quite a long line without any markers for distancing. In addition, not a single employee was wearing a mask at any time. Not the cashier, not the cooks, not the lady at the pick up window, no one. I knocked off a star because of that.

On to the food, the fries were super crispy, the raspberry shake was creamy and fresh and tasted delicious. The hamburger was juicy and cooked very well. There was an entire open air seating area with benches to eat your food at.

Overall the food was on point but the covid precautions are non existent.

We normally are next for and they recently closed so we are here and we’re happily surprised! The onion rings at made with amazing bater, light, and crispy. The service was quick and friendly. There are lots of tables outside to eat, and the restroom is a nice separate room attached to the building. The raspberry shakes are delicious. You really can’t go wrong with anything here.

I have only gone to this place once and I’ll never go back. I had no problem with the service, and if we did have one, it was most likely caused on my end. My problem is the food. The burger was… okay, kind of stiff and cold; the cheese wasn’t even melted. The curly fries were rock hard stiff. You could barely bite into them. We got shake as well, I didn’t try it but apparently it was the only good thing there.

Skimpy sandwich for a bigger price. Sad we didn’t stick to the classic spots. This sandwich was $11.50 and way smaller than the sandwiches our friends got at zips, which was $3 cheaper… also half the onion rings were overcooked…

Most unsatisfying meal we have had in a very long time. I had the Philly Steak that honestly looked and tasted like it came frozen from a card board box and then microwaved. Save yourself $12.29! My wife had the BLT that she quit eating after one bite. I didn’t know that bacon came that thin. It was quite literally almost see through. The only thing satisfying was our raspberry shake.
