This place was a fantastic visit. I was with a group of six from out of the area and saw it as a dinner option nearby. We took a chance on the place, and it far exceeded our expectations. From the presentation to the taste, the food was amazing. I had the Double Trouble Meatloaf, and it was fantastic. The others in my group said their food was great as well. For dessert, I asked for a slice of their well-known carrot cake, and they gave me the “slice” in the picture attached… After we were all done, we asked them what time they opened the next day and told them we’d be back when it opens. If you’re in the area, check this place out!

Red Cedar Creek Grill rocks. They have specials for two on Valentine’s and other ‘holidays’, check them out. We had appetizer, crab cake corn dogs with peach and habenero jam (outstanding),; shrimp and corn chowder (excellent); green apple and walnut salad; entrees, rainbow trout, drunken salmon (delightful) and for dessert, double chocolate custard with peppermint meringue ( light and sooo delicious).

This is my absolute favorite restaurant. The food is always creative, unique, fresh and delicious. I love pretty much everything on the menu. Even the soup is good. And we really like that the menu changes for the seasons keeping things interesting. Sometimes we just eat appetizers because they’re so delicious and filling. I have pictured the Butternut squash bruschetta and omg! A favorite. Even though it’s a 45 minute drive, I will continue to go so long as they continue making delicious food. And it doesn’t hurt that the service is very good too.

This was a good place to eat. The appetizers were great, I was surprised how tasty the fried brussel sprouts with beer cheese was, it was my favorite. We also had salmon dip and the chunks of salmon was a nice touch. It is a bit pricey so presentation could be a bit better. But my food tasted good and I was satisfied with my meal.

Fantastic, eclectic menu. We had the scallops gratin appetizer – very generous and delicious. The french onion soup was a little dark and heavy, IMO, but lots of cheese and bread. Our entrees were very good. I had the tomato basil ravioli & my husband had the double trouble meatloaf. Both were excellent! We shared the lemon tart with blueberry crunch ice cream for dessert. I highly recommend Red Cedar Grill. Great service, too.

It has been over 10 years since my wife and I last ate here. The place is nothing like I remember it. It now is a bright, clean establishment. The decor is up to date and the menu is small yet covers all the bases.
My wife had the goat cheese sirloin which she enjoyed both at dinner and the next day for breakfast. I had the jalapeño popper burger. Both meals were done to perfection – medium rare as requested. The fries that came with the burger were seasoned just right.
The wait staff was very helpful and fun. Angel didn’t take any of the “lip” I gave her. She was a joy and steered me away from something she felt would not be to my liking. In my experience that does not happen a lot.
We were very pleased with our visit. I give Red Cedar Grill and Angel 5-Stars!

Unbelievably good food and service! Every time my wife and I are in this place we’re treated very well and always get exceptional service. The food portions are somewhat small but the taste is absolutely magnificent. Sure, the price is somewhat on the higher side but it is SO worth it! I honestly can’t remember ever having a dish that was sub par here. Everything is prepared to perfection and the nice presentation of the food adds a nice touch. Last time I was here, I had the “Red Goat Sirloin” and was totally blown away by the taste and flavor. The Red Goat Sirloin is my new favorite dish and I hope it stays on the menu. If you’re in the area stop into the Red Cedar Grill, its definitely a place that is worth a try!

Dined at Red Cedar Grill on Sunday, September 17 at 5:30pm to celebrate my father-in-law’s birthday. Unfortunately, the food and service was nothing to celebrate. The young man that was our waiter was new and in desperate need of training. When asked about bread, we were told it was only given to tables with larger orders, but he brought it to us anyway.
The whitefish entree was sold out. We were told about this only after we had ordered the entrees, eaten our salads, and waited for 30 minutes. The waiter told us he had forgotten to put the entree orders in and upon doing so had been notified of the sold out item.
We waited a very long time for the entrees to come out. Our waiter apologized saying they were really stressed today. Upon asking another waitress what the hold up was, she apologized saying, again, they were under a lot of stress because of the new menu which had been rolled out a few days ago. She told us she was not a manager and that there was nothing she could do. Our waiter told us there was only 2 waitstaff and 2 cooks on duty. So, apparently the manager had already left for the day. We witnessed a group wait 15 minutes for their final check, a couple wait 25 minutes for a bottle of wine, and another group left before ordering their food.
Once the food arrived it looked quickly thrown together and 2 of the 4 entrees were lukewarm. We felt after waiting for so long that we wouldn’t burden the staff anymore, since they had already admitted there was nothing they could do anyway. A free piece of carrot cake was our conciliatory gift for lackluster service and less than stellar food.
The check was a little over $100.00 and our total dining time was 2 hours. The restaurant had around 20 people dining it it. I used to go to Red Cedar Grill a lot when it was owned by a restaurant group. I won’t be going back. Amy’s review below is correct, we should have gotten up and left too.

We attempted to eat here today. The wait staff, Hostess and chef were extremely disorganized. Could not tell us things like the daily vegetable, what was gluten free on their menu, what things were like on the menu, Etc. There was so much confusion that we ended up leaving. They charged one of our party members $8 for a regular size draft beer! Can’t recommend this place. It seems like it’s very poorly managed at this point. They seem to be trying to be a new age place, but have to get their managerial skills improved.
