Tacos El Paisa is hands-down one of the best authentic taco spots in Richmond! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly—especially the tacos and street-style favorites. The portions are generous, the prices are great, and the service is consistently fast and friendly. Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or picking up dinner for the family, this place never disappoints. A must-try in Richmond if you love real, delicious Mexican food!

This used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant. It used to have a really great salsa and guacamole bar. However for the last few weeks it seems like they have gotten cheap on their guacamole. I can’t even stand to eat it anymore. Yuck. Please bring back your quality guacamole and I’ll change my review. What you are serving now is gross.

These guys deserve more than 5-stars!
Ate here a numerous times over a 10 day work-stay in Richmond. Food was incredible every time.. from the flavour to the generous portions to the presentation; couldn’t have done it better honestly. Hands down the best Mexican food I’ve had in America.
Service was always great, vibe’s on point, place was always clean and the price is almost too good to be true. The salsa bar was the cherry on the cake!
A hidden gem tucked neatly in the middle of Kentucky!

I got the steak & pork tacos.
Steak taste very bad. Like it was old but I’m pretty sure it was just the season they used. Hated the steak. The pastor tacos was good but not the best. But definitely better than the steak could ever. Could have been a bad day for them. That tortillas was not cooked all the ways.
Very underwhelming performance from this place. They updated the place and now the food got noticeably worse. I probably will not go back. I’ll try them again in a year and see if it changes.

My favorite taqueria in Richmond was very busy so I decided to give this place a try. I would not recommend ordering tacos (or horchata). I ordered 3 tacos de asada and got carne asada (just a big steak). When my husband told the waiter that’s not what I ordered, he said yes it was. I was starving so I said just forget it, I’ll just eat this. The steak was gross. It had no seasoning at all. I took one bite and that was it. My husband got tacos de lengua and he said they were bland. All in all, it’s a no for me. I just really wanted tacos. They did take the steak off my bill.

Love the new store same good people. Always come in and get a nachos fajitas steak and a margarita! I recommend this over any other Mexican restaurant in Richmond.

In my opinion, this is one of the three good places in town. The larger restaurant has large party seating options and a bigger bar than the main street location. Both are good places.

Wowza! First time visiting and won’t be the last. Service is great. They steak burrito, my husband gives two thumbs up. I LOVE the shrimp tostada and taco. Don’t forget the cheese and steak fries! Fast, tasty and worth every penny! (Reasonably priced too!) ¡Mucho bueno!

The best place to ever eat!!! Our waitress Mariana was amazing, she was so attentive, kind and so so sweet. She recommended the Birria Pizza and some other items the desert was so delicious we had a chocolate lava cake. I recently lost my son to cancer her kindness touched me and my husband will most definitely return. The food was OUTSTANDING!!!!

Check your food THOROUGHLY! Meat contains
INTESTINES. Ordered the birria pizza today and we were disgusted to find this inside. Called restaurant so they’d know to check their meat and they asked for photos, and as they reviewed the picture we heard them discussing in Spanish that it was a piece of “tripa” (gut/intestines) , but then in English told us it was “just a piece of fat that hadn’t been trimmed from the meat.” It’s very clearly not just a piece of fat. They offered us a refund and a free meal. We are sick to our stomachs and will not visit again.
