Stopped in on a Monday night before catching a movie at the theater across the street. Me and my BFF were immediately sat, our drink orders were promptly received, and we placed our food order shortly after that!

Food came out quickly and it was so tasty! Do yourself a favor and order the filet sliders. Whatever sauce that comes with it was like crack! The filet medallions were cooked perfectly. I loved the fries too!

Solid, no-frills dinner. For a bar and restaurant, the vibe was rather quiet which i LOVED.

I’ll never go back! The first server we had was about to be off so we sat for 15-20 after we were ready to order before the other server was even ready and working. Ordered another round of drinks and he only brought 2 of us drinks. Got our food finally and… well not happy. The burger we ordered raw was WELL! The cheese wasn’t melted and hardly any fries. Just not happy at all for the amount we paid. The bar was very empty and no one else was even at a table!!!

Delicious food… we started with some good onion rings. Ordered the olive burger with fries and the BBQ burger with tots. Food came put pretty quick. Atmosphere was fine, service was not so great. The server never greeted us nor mentioned her name. Just came up and asked what we wanted to drink. Despite the underwhelming service, we would give this establishment another try!

I’m sorry, but the food here was awful. Came here from over an hour away to meet with my in-laws for lunch for my birthday. I got the mahi-mahi tacos, which were incredibly dry. You know how when you’re hungry you’ll eat anything? Yeah that was the case here. I asked for a side of the sauce to try to remedy that and the server forgot and my husband had to go chase her down. No biggie, I get things happen but that was just the beginning. Even the rice pilaf had a strange funky taste, I don’t know if it’s a cleanliness issue and they’re cooking everything in the same pot or something? My husband asked for his Burger medium rare, it arrived well done. Now granted we hadn’t eaten anything all day as well as my husband being a bigger guy, he took two bites but they said because it was half eaten they would refund 50%. To be fair the server didn’t really come by a whole lot so great the burger went from $18 to $9 – still overpriced esp considering it was obviously not made in house but frozen! Even my Arnold Palmer was funky tasting. Like it had a weird artificial lemon, lime flavor. The only thing I can think of is if they have a beverage dispenser and they dispensed Sprite right before that…maybe? Both my husband and I were servers years ago and know that shouldn’t be an issue though if they’re routinely cleaning the beverage dispenser and soaking the nozzles overnight. Especially since it was a pretty tall glass that shouldn’t have made that much of a difference. Between my husband and me the only thing good was the tater tots which I assume more also frozen. I will say the ambiance was neat, but not enough to justify the terrible overpriced food. I suspect the main issue is cleanliness and such an extensive menu but not really specializing in anything. It’s 2025 and there are better options out there. We won’t be back.

This little tavern was nice to drop in for a bite. We had sandwich and salad. I got to have my favorite sweet potato fries also! We were in there at a slower time too, so not noisy at all.

Oliver’s Bar and Grill in downtown Woodstock is a staple with a great atmosphere and plenty of TVs for football. The cool art featuring iconic Illinois athletes adds a unique touch. Their food is top-notch—I especially loved the chicken panini melt with its delicious sauce. The patty melt? One of the best I’ve ever had!

We stopped in for lunch. The server was friendly, but had no clue about the brands of the wines served ( menu listed varieties but not brand or price). I got a merlot, served in a large glass and easily over 6 ounces. My companion got a chardonnay, served in a small glass and barely 5 ounces if that. They were each $7. My pulled pork sandwich and skinny fries was simply presented and very tasty. Most of the space was high top tables and a bar with lots of tvs tuned to sports. There was a row of regular height tables but no booths.

Excellent service! Nice and clean. Great prices and a lot of food for the money. We both ordered the special of the day, which is the American burger and fries. Big burger and lots of fries, just take a look at the pics! Total bill with drinks and tip was $25.00.

Sorry for the photo of my spicy burger it was so good I forgot to get a photo until it was gone. The potato skins were scrumptious and the beer cold! Absolutely will be heading back out here to try more.
