Today I picked Restaurant 323 purely based on a keyword search( “pho”) while wandering around Springvale Central. Out of so many options, this one popped up with solid ratings and—voilà—I decided to give it a go. It’s not far from the station at all, right in the heart of Springvale Central. The place is actually quite spacious, which was a pleasant surprise—not one of those cramped spots where tables&chairs are practically kissing each other.
It was a bit warm inside (probably a hot day and the AC doing its best), but honestly, it didn’t bother me much. I went straight for their special beef pho, grabbed a Coke from the counter, and within minutes the food arrived. And wow—it was delicious. I was in Hanoi just last week, and this pho came pretty close to what I had over there, which says a lot. A couple of beef pieces were slightly chewy, but nothing that ruined the experience.
Since my partner is vegetarian, I always skim the menu for veg options—and I was pleasantly surprised here. There were a few vegetarian dishes on the menu, so I am pretty sure she won’t be disappointed when she comes along. It feels like a place that caters to everyone.
The staff were lovely too—very friendly and chatty while I was paying. The lady at the counter even appreciated the few Vietnamese words I had picked up recently, which was a nice touch. The only slightly uncomfortable bit? $13 for the pho, $3 for the Pepsi, and then an extra $1 card surcharge. That made me pause for a second—not sure if that’s standard in Springvale or just specific to this place, but it did feel a bit… unique
Overall though, great food, good vibes, and definitely worth a visit.

We had always walked past this place and decided to try it out after seeing several posters showing the promotional price on the door.
No one was in the restaurant except us and the owner’s family.
We ordered the BBH and pork chop broken rice. Food was prompt, and that’s all that was positive. The BBH didn’t taste like BBH and was just like a watered-down bowl of noodle soup. The ingredients were terribly little, and even the pork trotters were sliced so thin. I know times are bad, but to charge $12 for it is just not right.
The pork chop was small and wasn’t grilled but deep-fried. Not authentic at all! My pictures look better than the real thing.
We ate up quickly and left with an unhappy stomach.
Do not recommend this place.

GREAT love this place so much ive been coming here for the past like decade this place is my sunday home the family is soo nice the food is packed with atompheric delishnos and sprinvaling spices great i love it soo much do not listen to all these frickles saying ts plavce is bad bc it is great love so much go rn like spend all ur money support

Loving the fine crispy noodles which are airy and remain crispy throughout the meal. A generous of meats and veggies with a rich sauce.
The pho comes with lightly cooked meats which work well for when the soup is poured on top on the noodles and meat.

Lunch in Sprigvale gave me the opportunity to eat this place. Start was chicken ribs – top dish. Just fried to perfection, the crunch is just right. For the mains we had beef with black beans – just sweet enough so could eat it without the rice. The other main was rockling in sauce with vegetables. Finished it with a nice pho with seafood. Good service good chat and water on the table as needed. Finished it off with a late- it was drinkable.. the whole lot was $98. So good portion to value. Recommend.

Tried the Diced Beef with Noodles. It was delicious. The Noodles were al-dente. Perfectly cooked. It’s the right size for a Beef and Noodles dish, like this. The Noodles weren’t that soggy. Had a nice colour to them. It wasn’t breaking up a lot, because it was perfectly wok-tossed. The beef was tender. More on the well-done side. But this is perfect, in terms of Asian cuisine, especially Vietnamese. Beef had a nice smoky buttery flavour. Definitely had a nice colour to them. But the highlight of this dish, was the sauce. It carries the Noodles, along with the beef, so it flows, without one being dominant than the other. The sauce had a lovely sweet and salty flavour to it. You can definitely taste the soy, kind of that dark or light soy. Balanced with almost that molasses-like flavour into. But it’s well balanced. Definitely the thing that carries both of these things together. The staff, especially chef, was very friendly. This is my second time, and he knew exactly what I want. Overall, a restaurant to come back. Coming back for more beef and Noodles.
