What a fun place! My husband and I came here on A Saturday for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by how charming and authentic this place is. It’s fairly casual in that you order at the counter and they bring your food to you. I ordered the empanadas, which were good though they felt slightly under fried. My husband ordered beef tacos and said they were tasty. Fun fact–someone had set up one side of the restaurant with a beautiful balloon arch and a table of food, obviously for a party that was going to be hosted at the restaurant later;my husband and I had great fun imagining what that party might be for! The service here was wonderful, very attentive and kind. The music was kind of loud, making it a little difficult to hold a conversation, but I found myself dancing along to it in my chair as I ate

The fresh corn tortillas surprised and impressed me! The tripas were cooked to order- crunchy is how I prefer them. The barbacoa and pastor meats were equally impressive!! The owner is sweet and attentive, her cooks are AMAZING, the staff is friendly- truly a hidden gem!! Most definitely coming back until I can try all the dishes. Truly satisfied.

The consomé is AMAZING. Flavorful, beefy, hearty. You get a HUGE CONTAINER of broth. I’m sipping on this until the morning! Everything was just finished being made, hot and fresh. Empanadas were crispy and the meat was flavorful. VERY filling for one person. I got the BOGO deal, for two! Would recommend. I’m coming back at least once a week maybe more for that consomé!!!! The staff was super helpful and friendly as well. They have a little bar for your toppings as well, like limes, radishes, lettuce, pico and more! Very unique and overall tasty.

If you’re looking for homemade tortilla tacos, this is your spot. All of the food was great. I loved the authentic touches, like the grilled cactus, grilled onion, and perfectly ripe avocado slices. The only reason for 4 stars is because I ordered asada tacos and got chicken instead, but I will return.

This place is unreal. The food was incredible u had the huevos rancheros and the chilaquiles and a pancake. If you’ve ever been to Mexico you know this spot is legit. The coffee had the perfect amount of cinnamon. The portions were very generous and the staff was so polite I’m shook there isn’t a line out the door

We have tried most of the places in Raleigh/Garner that have the authentic mexican food and they all have lost their freshness and good service. When we have errands to run in the Raleigh area this is the place that we love and see forward to stop by. Their food is always fresh, delicious and the best part VERY authentic. The food is well seasoned and the portions are really good. We drive an hour and let me tell you its worth it.

Love this place! My wife and I have gone around a dozen times and have never experienced a bad meal here. And having lived in Mexico we are picky about where we eat out.
I particularly love their Menudo— the broth is very rich and flavorful. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve been disappointed with Menudo at most other local restaurants where I find it to be too watered down. Love their tacos de barbacoa and huevos ahogados in the spicy red chile de árbol sauce.
They have their salsas, limes, onions, etc out in a buffet bar which is a nice touch too.
Prices are reasonable and the owner is nice. Great spot for authentic Mexican dishes!
