I ordered off their simple and limited lunch menue designed for rapid service.
I ordered to noodle dish with shrimp, and some other rubbery seafood that looked like the stock of a plant but I’m guessing it may have been rubber calamari in some odd form.
In short the atmosphere is lacklustre and is set back in the 70’s and 80’ with a simple table and cloth with simple banquet chairs. Walls and decor are simple and dated. This is not a place to go out for a nice meal. This is a low quality typical North American Chinese style restaurant shoveling food on plates to individuals who likely are seeking volume over quality and authenticity.
Pricing is a little high for the quality and portion.
The soup was actually decent, again a 3/5.
The main dish noodles were nothing special and the sauce was exceptionally watery and lacked flavour.
The 4 or 5 pieces of very small shrimp were ok but the three pieces of inedible seafood (calamari I think) were disgusting – I believe that either the chef does not do quality control or taste or this is the (rubber) stamped quality level they strive for.
Service was adequate with a couple people in front of house even though it was about 3/4 full.
It is not a repeat for me. Sorry( my standard for food is not met here to say the least.
I believe the target audience for the place is for individuals who seek a relatively quick service, North American Chinese, reasonable pricing and don’t care about atmosphere or experience.
I’m not putting this place down as every establishment has its purpose and audience – just not of my “taste”.
One great thing is parking is easy. A bad thing is you can only access this place by travelling in a north direction.
You get 10% rebate.
Was easy to order on the site.
The Tum Yum soup as good but not very hot,
Plain rice was good.
Chop Suey was ok
Nothing spectacular about that restaurant
Easy free parking
I had the General Tao, a hot and sour soup, steamed , and a spring roll.
The soup was great, but the spring roll was too mushy inside, and it was served after my meal instead of after my soup. As for the General Tao… it was tasty, but the chicken was not there. The batter was too thick, and there were many pieces served that were just dough, and there was no chicken.
Service, except for the spring roll timing, was friendly and good.
The restaurant was pretty busy for a Tuesday lunchtime. Maybe I’ll try something else next time.
The food was like going to China town Montreal. Outstanding and fresh.
The hot and sour soup is a 10
The egg rolls 10
Peanut dumping 10
Chicken sticks 10
The general tao 10
Singapore 10
Out of all the Chinese restaurant’s on the west island .this place is #1
I was driving by but never thought I would go in since it is located randomly on an off side road but I dont regret it
The food was exceptional, better than what I imagined. We ordered the basic chinesw food that everybody loves, general tao, special yangchow fried rice (pork and shrimp), stir-beef with chinese brocoli and not to forget a tom yum soup! (I wasn’t expecting this taste, thai soup in a chinese restaurant! very yummy…)
There is a free parking lot plenty of space. the interior could be a little better, but. It was still very welcoming ( more like going to your friends house for diner type of vibe) but nonetheless, they have lots of clients and good food! Thats what counts
I think that is bring your own wine type of restaurant (looking at other tables) not sure
Anyhow definitely going back to try other dishes
It came with choice of Wonton or Hot Sour soup, Spring Roll, take out portioned plate where 1/2 plate either your choice of fried or steamed rice, 1/4 plate mixed vegetables and 1/4 plate is the General Tso’s chicken.
All was in good tasting order. Attached a photo.
The service was very kind by Lee and he helped bring the takeout to my vehicle and expedited my order. Nice touch.
PS: Men’s bathroom was clean.
Friendly staff , clean restaurant , fast service and delicious food , full of flavour .
Highly recommended , reasonable prices !
