Good eatery and a place to unwind for a bit. The decor is welcoming and service is amazing. The bartender David and the server Eligio were exceptionally attentive and always went above and beyond.

We had both dinner and breakfast – Benedict for breakfast and bologenes with the onion chestnut soup for dinner. Then shared a creme brulee in the end.

The food was fine. I had the steak but it was a long day so I accidentally ordered it medium well instead of medium.
But the service was fantastic. David was my server in the bar area and he made sure I had a great time.
Would go back for another meal for David alone.

I wanted to have a fun dining experience for my birthday and this was an excellent choice. Everything from ambience to creativity was admirable. The food was scrumptious. We wanted more of everything. It was really extraordinary. The flavors were on point. My
husband’s vegetarian and they catered to him really well. He did not miss out on anything and all his entrees kept disappearing before I could take a shot of it.. Lol. I recommend this place for special occasions and romantic dinners.

Had dinner here on a Saturday and had an absolutely amazing experience. From the initial greeting to the entrance, everything was perfectly appointed with a lovely decor. Every course was very unique and had a ton of lovely Indian spice flavor. Presentation for every course was on point and the tasting menu is delicious and filling. The Tahitian vanilla milkshake was also the most amazing milkshake I have ever had in my life and I highly recommend it. It has such a fresh vanilla bean flavor and the sweetness was perfect. Overall, I highly recommend this place for a lovely dinner and I was even able to get reservations within a week which is quite rare for a 2 Michelin star restaurant.

We had a lovely meal here over a year ago.

We had the tasting menu with a glass of champagne. The food was delicious and very inventive. We also ordered the black truffle dish that happened to be in season around that time. Overall, it was a great experience. The lobster dish was very tasty and it was my favorite. Reservations were not that hard to come by but the room was nonetheless full when we were there (pre-covid).

This is one of the city’s best kept secret when it comes to fine dining. The value and quality for what you pay is exceptional. The space is not too big so it feels more intimate. I’m always surprised when people haven’t heard about Campton Place Restaurant! It’s by far one of the best Californian-Indian Cuisines I’ve had! This restaurant has had at least 1-2 Michelin stars for 8 years in a row. I gotta check again to make sure so don’t quote me on that. Lol.

I’ve dined here for dinner as well but my most recent visit was to check out their new brunch menu. My hubby and I def ordered with our eyes but it was worth it! They have some really good options to choose from!

We started off with the new 3×3 terroir champagne tasting (they’ll have different champagnes on rotation…I think) for $65.

Of course we had to get the Caviar service with our champagne tasting, it’s only fitting!

For small course, we got 2 things.

Soft scrambled eggs is my favorite and really hard to find a place that makes it good in the city (shocking!). They’ve managed to do it well here. We asked for no smoked salmon because we’re not huge fans of smoked salmon in general.

Warm naan buns and fondue with black Australian truffle ($40 for .5 grams of truffle = worth it)! OH MY GOSH, these simple small bites were magical. 10/10 recommend. It’s bomb af!

For our main course, we got 3 options because we were really hungry and wanted to try a bit of everything as much as we could.

The Maine lobster roll with curry vinaigrette is the BEST nontraditional lobster roll we’ve had. I’m throughly impressed by what chef did here! I believe they use brown butter to grill the brioche bun which is absolutely crispy and perfect. Perfection! 10/10 recommend.

The cheeseburger is a pretty good size. We got medium and the burger patty was cooked to perfection…tender and juicy! I highly recommend if you’re in the mood for a good burger. This paired very well with one of the rosés we had!

Gulf prawns coconut curry, very light and fluffy curry. It’s almost like a curry soup. This was really good with the basmati rice.

Dessert, we were pretty stuffed but there’s always room for dessert in my tummy!

The Elderberry cheesecake was the perfect way to end the meal. It’s not too sweet which is perfect for me!

Oops on the long review but I thoroughly enjoyed their new brunch menu and wanted to share with everyone else. I can’t wait to go back to try other items. YUM

Delicious food and drinks in a nice space in the Taj Campton hotel. Ordered cocktails (spicy marg was great and spicy, and the Moscow mule was good), fries and the paneer makhani, which was delicious. The waiter was helpful and very friendly.

We celebrated our 17th anniversary at this gorgeous restaurant with a very elegant ambience. We were greeted at the front and were offered a coat check. After which we were promptly seated. The server came with a few choices of champagne and we decided to go with the Billecart-Salmon Champagne which was actually very fruity and delicious. We decided to do the 4 course menu and my husband did the wine pairing with it.
The food did not disappoint. In my experience of Michelin starred places, this restaurant is the best till date. I loved the various finger foods that came in the beginning, starting from a pear, to pumpkin vadas. I had the poached lobster for the 1st course and it was delectable. My husband and child got the Spice pot which had a ceremonial presentation. The 2nd course was the scallop Dosa with kale chutney and it was absolutely out of this world. What a genuine delicious dish!
I had the duck as my 3rd course and it was medium rare and yummy with the side of apple chutney and some more fun stuff. My boys had the hen which was served with a curry leaf khichdi.Ended with an impressive dessert and also a passion fruit cake as an anniversary surprise and chocolates to end the meal. I LOVED the food, the ambience and the service was superb. Will surely go again to experience the amalgamation of Indian cuisine with a hint of French and European flavors.

Great service , very clean and accommodating. Great muffins. I would stay here again. Only negative was the room size which was a little cramped, and the view from our room was a stone wall, but I guess that’s what you might expect in San Francisco with pretty closely situated buildings. Great shopping nearby and was convient to most places in town. Was greatful that no protesters at our hotel as there were many very loud protesters at other hotels in the area. The doormen were very helpful and there all hours of the night.
